In 1982, Dietrich Mateschitz became aware of products called tonic drinks, which enjoyed widespread popularity throughout Far East. His idea to market these functional drinks outside Asia evolved whilst he sat at a bar at the Mandarin Hotel in Hong Kong. In 1984, Mateschitz founded Red Bull. He fine-tuned the product, developed a unique marketing concept and started selling Red Bull Energy Drink on the Austrian market in 1987. This was not only the launch of a completely new product, in fact it was the birth of a totally new product category. In 2008, Red Bull launched its own Cola: Red Bull Simply Cola -Strong and Natural. Very much in line with the needs of today's consumers, Red Bull Cola - unlike traditional colas - only contains ingredients of 100% natural sources. In 2009, Red Bull extended its product portfolio with Red Bull Energy Shots: Starting in the USA, now gradually rolling out globally. Around 4 billion cans of Red Bull are consumed every year. The responsibility for the success of the world's No. 1 energy drink is shared by the company's 6,900 employees around the world. The Red Bull headquarters are based in Fuschl am See, not far from Salzburg, Austria. Features include: -Pack of twenty four, 8.4-ounces per unit (total of 201.6 ounces)-Functional beverage with a unique combination of ingredients-Specially developed for times of increased mental and physical exertion-Vitalizes body and mind-Increases performance, concentration, reaction speed and improves vigilance

Overall redbull isn't horrible for a pick me up. It has just enough caffeine to keep you running, or help give you a small boost. The things I found most undesirable with this product was the amount of sugar as well as the price per unit. I would only recommend this to someone who needs a morning boost, or needs a chaser for their jager

This is really something that is awful for the body and when mixed with alcohol is even more harmful.
People need to realize that these "fake" substitutes for energy are not that at all and are just a pile of unhealthy chemicals that they are ingesting.
Fruits, nuts, protein, ect. are all sources where we should be getting our energy.

Although I try to avoid drinking energy drinks I do find that Red Bull Energy Drink is the only one I choose when I do. I love the taste and it keeps me alert after drinking it. Only downside is I find the energy boost doesn’t last super long.

REDBULL really gives me wings ! i just love the taste and the sizing of the cans are the real deal, like when i know i just need a little boost i obviously take the small one but i know that i can get a bigger one if needed. I like the fact that it taste like sugar but not as much as the other brand nothing compare to redbull 5 stars all the way

I am a huge RedBull fan. Unlike many other energy drink though, Red Bull does not have the same amount of "flavoring" as many others. Instead of having a certain type of flavor added to the strong taste of the drink, I find Red Bull is just strong. At the same time, I love the drink, love the price, and love the boost it gives.

The only energy drink I drink. I like the taste and is perfect for nights I need to stay up studying. But I keep it at a minimum since I don't believe they're vert good for your health and thats why I gave it 3 stars. Bottom line: it gets the job done and gives you a good caffeine fix. Beware of the buzz crash though, time it well.

A lot of sports drinks just contain a lot of sugar and lots of electrolytes and so on to replenish vitamins lost in exercise whereas red bull is one of the main brands that has a focus on caffeine and not sugar meaning you don't just get a short burst of energy to burn it actually makes you more alert and therefor able to do more.

Redbull isn't a drink I would usually go for, but I do enjoy the taste. I do also feel that for the size, it is slightly over priced and I don't feel like I get the biggest benefit from it. So for those looking for a nice tasting energy drink then it's for you, but if you are looking for a bigger impact, maybe go for something else.

I love the taste of energy drinks and Red Bull is no exception. Wouldn't say it is better or worse than other energy drinks like monster or relentless, but definitely better than the cheap stuff. I am not particularly affected by caffine, but it does give you a boost and I know lots of people who say it gives a lot of energy.

I use Red Bull on occasion for that extra little "pick me up." I work construction as a carpenter and can't always just keep drinking coffee, especially on hot days so a Red Bull comes in handy (especially the sugar free version).
