This mattress works great in our guest room as a spare mattress that is universally appealing and comfortable. It is a bit firm for my liking personally as an everyday bed but as a guest bed or a bed I occasionally use it gets the job done well. I haven’t found sleeping on it is too hot, but if that’s an issue you could try different cooling sheets.

The Brenham II Firm Posturepedic Elite Spring Euro Pillowtop Mattress is one that we adore! It features a pillowtop and is firm. Since most spring beds are flimsy and I don't like to hear them as you move around on your bed, I was initially afraid to get one. I adore how thick and robust it is. The bed is quite comfy now that we have a four-inch foam topper on it. If you prefer a firm bed, I heartily recommend this one.

Finally, a mattress that offers good support and keeps me from getting too hot! I am a hot sleeper, and have been unable to tolerate memory foam due to sweating. After weeks of use, I wake up every morning without back pain nor sweaty. The mattress, to date, delivers at a reasonable price. I cannot speak to longevity beyond 6 weeks, but so far, so good!
