We had this diet prescribed for or 6 year old Saint Bernard. He has pretty bad heart disease and has kidney disease secondary to that. Due to the heart disease, he is on diuretics which we were worried would inflame his kidneys further. Since starting this food, his kidneys have remained static and have not gotten worse. This is the best news we could hope for. Only taking off 1 star because this food alone does not seem to “fill him up” and he gets nauseas between feeds. We have to add boiled chicken and rice to sustain him
