I particularly like the Progresso Reduced Sodium Italian-Style Wedding with Meatballs Soup - it's light but still hearty, with a generous amount of soft rigati pasta, a decent quantity of herby pork and turkey meatballs, and a variety of tender vegetables such as carrots and spinach. The broth doesn't taste like it's reduced sodium - it's flavorful and savory, with garlic powder and onion powder as standout flavors among some other herbs. At only 160 calories a can, and 940mg of sodium (42% of your daily recommended sodium intake), this makes a light meal or snack, and you can certainly jazz it up and make it a more filling meal by adding a protein, additional vegetables, etc. Canned soups have gotten more expensive in recent years, so I'll snag a can or two if I find it on sale at my local grocery store (sometimes it'll go down to $1.99/can from $3.29). Overall, this is one of my favorite canned soups out there, and I'll continue to buy it when it goes on sale!
Perfect for sick days! Whenever I’m feeling under the weather sticking to plain toast and progressive soup is the only way to ensure that’s going in isn’t coming right back up!
Great taste for straight out of the can. Love that it’s low sodium but still has great flavor. Does need a tad more meatballs and veggies but other than that great soup!! [product:progresso-light-italian-style-wedding-soup-185-oz-can]
