This is a sturdy tabletop device, but I can see how it would be used in someone's lap as well. A great product for my kids to use to watch short videos, and it's got a nice design as well.

This is a great tablet/phone stand! It’s sturdy and out of the box it comes already assembled. You can easily switch from portrait to landscape view and adjust the angle for perfect viewing. It’s easy to pick up and move to where you need to view your tablet/phone. It’s also easily stored as you can flatten it.
