I've always searched for a foundation that 'looks like skin', and for me, this is that foundation. My skin is normal with oiliness in the T-zone. My sin concerns are redness, some texture, pores in the nose and cheek area, and minimal fine lines (I'm only 22 so it's not like I have deep lines, but they are there). My biggest issue with this foundation is the shade range, it's horrible! The shade I have barely matches me (I really need something a bit darker) but they only have one light warm shade, so I'd have to either buy two foundations and mix, or just settle for something a bit too light and bronze. If they could change their shade range and make it more inclusive for those of all skin tones, I would give this five stars.

My pros: The finish of this foundation is fantastic. It's so beautiful and imparts a natural "from within" glow, which is absolutely perfect for summer. I love that it's a light coverage, and doesn't completely cover my skin. For me it gives me enough to even out the color, but redness and freckles/beauty spots still come through. I also like that it doesn't accentuate my textured skin like matte finishes do. As for the lasting claims, I do I find that this lasts pretty well on me, even when I'm at work. I work as a server and we serve up quite a bit of fried food, so I'm definitely pretty greasy by the end of the shift, but it doesn't bother me. That's not to say it wouldn't bother others. It doesn't seem to collect in my fine lines the same way other foundations do, nor does it seem to break up in my oily places, but I definitely need to powder it, and so would anyone else that's oily. My nose has rather large pores and is definitely the most textured part of my face, and all of my foundations typically separate and accentuate these issues. Now, I won't say that this foundation eradicates the texture, but it certainly doesn't accentuate it like other foundations doIf you're dry I can definitely see this working well for you, especially if you use a  hydrating bace.

My cons: This foundation looks really great everywhere on my face, except my chin. I don't know why that is but it always looks odd, I just can't seem to get it to settle into my skin in that area the way it does in others. Not sure if that's because of the texture of my chin, or some other reason. But it always remains blotchy and odd. Something that's important to note is that it wouldn't be good for people with acne. I do have spots on my forehead and around my mouth and this just doesn't cover them. I don't mind using something else to hide them, but if you're looking for something that's going to do all the work for you, it's not this one.

I wanted to love this foundation so much but sadly there are too many cons to even like it. The new physicians formula foundation launch really excited me because it was a huge launch for them foundation wise, it also claims it has good for you ingredients, & the bottle looked so gorgeous! It was a bit pricey for a drugstore foundation too, at $15.99, so I'm very disappointed I don't like it. I liked how it has an easier way of picking which shade would be right for you by making them listed as cool, warm, neutral & what shade it is. This sadly oxidizes very soon while on so it'll never be a perfect color match for me. LW2 was a perfect color until it oxidizes & makes me turn orange. This also cannot be used without a primer & even primers don't help all that much. This foundation shows all my pores which I have no problem with other foundations I wear. Even with a primer it will show pores later on in the day. This isn't long lasting at all either. I would only wear this if I knew I didn't have an important or busy day ahead. Would never rely on this if I knew I had to actually go out somewhere. This definitely wears off easily. If you are oily will definitely have to set. On top of all those cons I don't notice a difference with my skin at all when using this. I know it's still foundation so not the best for skincare but I'm just noting I don't see a difference with the added vitamins. I do like the applicator though. I know some don't prefer it because of unsanitary reasons but it helps keep my hands clean & is easy to use & get product out. I don't find that this foundation cakes up either. Coverage is a bit buildable but not full. Light medium. Will cover redness & small blemishes but not huge breakouts or even acne scars. I would not purchase again.

Received this complimentary for review purposes however my opinions are all my own.
- the shade itself is a one shade darker than my skin tone. Before my shade is a cool tone(I am warm tone). I set this with my cotyairspun translucent one and bake it for few mins as it helps not to look so dark on me.
- light to medium coverage but very buildable with lightweight, breathable, long lasting, smooth and flawless. Before I set it, it has a satin finish and when I set it'll be powdery feeling and matte but not "flat" finish. As I'm looking myself in the mirror, it looks like I facetune myself(smooth).
- the packaging is pretty and quite heavy in a glass bottle with big dope foot applicator. I find it a little bit messy and wasteful whenever I'm dipping back the applicator(see and zoom in the 2nd photo).
- I can use a flat brush, sponge by ultabeauty and paddle brush but sponge is much easier for me.
- I can't identify the smell but it has a scent of like alcohol, marker and quite a paint(my husband said).
- I get oily after 4-5 hours on tzone especially the cheeks but not crazy. After 8 hrs onwards, I can see some blotches on my chin(it's my problem lately), my nose(side) and pores too so you need a pore filling primer but it still smooth and flawless looking and I don't need to retouch at all. Blotting paper is all I need.

All in all, I highly recommend this foundation especially if you want for an everyday lightweight flawless foundation.

Will I repurchase? Definitely Y-E-S!! ❤

Of all drugstore brands, I never really expected Physicians Formula to be the one to surprise me. I am used to knock-out winners from Maybelline, L’Oréal, and the like, but aside from the iconic Butter Bronzer, PFs products were just “okay.” Their liquid complexion products were laughable, especially so if you’re any darker than a porcelain doll.

But, PF stepped up to the plate. Instead of a two to three shade tinted moisturizer, like they normally tend to release, they released a multitude of shades in this new foundation formula. Now, it’s not the best range I’ve ever seen, but for PF, this is practically a 180. The shades come in a variety on undertones and shades, however those undertones and shades are mostly paired on a linear scale. There isn’t really a Light Warm, Light Cool, Light Neutral. It starts at Light Cool 1 (LC1), then proceeds down the color range with variations in undertone. So if you’re a very fair, warm-toned person, you’re out of luck. Similarly, if your complexion is very deep, you, too, will need to invest in a mixer shade. For me, LN3 was just about perfect, though it needed some lightening drops to adjust for my winter coloring.

This foundation is pretty much perfect in all the practical ways. It applied like a dream, regardless of whether you use a brush, a sponge, your fingers, your cat, a spoon, whatever. It goes on smoothly for medium coverage, and looks very natural. It does need set, but that’s no big deal. I found this foundation to last beautifully all day, with standard but minor touch ups here and there. I received a few comments on how good my skin looked. I will never not rave about this product!

I’ve been using The Healthy Foundation complimentary of Influenster and after a few weeks of use, it’s time I posted a review .
.
Let’s talk about the claim. They say this is a long-wearing, buildable & breathable foundation for all skin types. Also, this is said to provides flawless, lightweight to medium coverage that leaves a healthy, satin finish. They also claim that this brightens, hydrates and improves skin tone. The active SPF 20 ingredients is Octinoxate 3% which is not broad spectrum! This means is does not block both UVA & UVB ray but, as @gossmakeupartist demonstrated in his latest video, people should never rely on their makeup for adequate sunscreen protection. His video is freaking hilarious btw 😆 .
.
Let’s talk ingredients. This contains sunflower oil (balances sebum), mongongo oil which has a high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, making it great for moisturizing & retaining moisture. Chinese Wu-Zhu-Yu Extract has anti inflammatory properties plus its been know to brighten. Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract which helps refine skin texture, skin tone & helps fight free radical damage. Other ingredients include sodium hyaluronate, vitamin A, C & E, plus silica (absorbs oil) & rosemary extract which helps protect the skin cells from damage .

I admit, when it comes to foundation, I don’t use drugstore makeup because matching my pale skin is difficult! Although this is a bit dark on my super pale skin, it’s a decant match. This is easy to blend, provides light to medium coverage & wears about 4-5 hrs until a touch up is needed. This does have a satin finish, slightly controls tzone oil, no breakouts or clogged pores 🙌🏻 I didn’t notice much hydration & any antiaging effects wouldn’t be seen instantly. Overall, I like this foundation and I love that this is available in 16 shades with cool, warm & neutral undertones. At about $12, this is a great option for those wanting a foundation that looks better than some high end ones.

I received a complimentary bottle of Physician's Formula's The Healthy Foundation in exchange for an honest review of the product.
Initially when I decided to try the foundation I was skeptical; I am not usually one to opt for drugstore brands. I have been an obsessed, number 1 fan of Tarte and Urban Decay for the past few years and I was confident that I had found my go-to foundations; I stopped looking.
Let me start by saying that this squashed every bit of doubt I had. I have switched foundations!
It comes in 16 shades, with cool, warm, and neutral tones. I use LN3, which is Light Neutral - absolutely perfect match! It has a medium coverage, lightweight finish (a must!), is buildable without becoming cakey, and it is infused with vitamins A, C, and E AND has an SPF20! It is hypoallergenic and vegan friendly as well, which is incredibly important to me (cruelty free is sexy). It’s non-comedogenic (it won’t cause your skin irritation, leading to breakouts, and it will not clog pores).
If you apply the foundation with a beauty blender, you will get a more sleek, mattfying finish. I did not prefer the wand applicator, but that is so trivial that I found it an insignificant issue.
This has exceeded my foundation requirements - I will continue to buy this foundation!! HIGHLY recommended.

O M G! I just want to say first that if Physician’s Formula ever discontinues this foundation I will take it personally. I prefer light to medium coverage with a dewy finish or satin at most. I have combination dry skin with redness, the occasional breakout, and no scarring or major discoloration (thank you Dr. Dennis Gross) so I don’t need full coverage. I have a problem with foundation looking cakey and patchy on my skin and/or not lasting. I’ve tried every single vegan foundation you could think of from low end like Wet n’ Wild’s Photo-Finish to Tarte’s Amazonian and Rainforest of the Sea. I’ve tried MILK, Cover FX, all of them. The only thing that came close was Tarte’s Amazonian BB tinted moisturizer but it didn’t provide as much color correction as I was wanting. I decided to try this after watching one of Mrs. Schuerman’s videos on YouTube about it. I picked this up from Target yesterday in LC1 and it’s a perfect match for my skin! The coverage is flawless and skin-like without feeling heavy or settling into fine lines or pores. I applied this with Wet n’ Wild’s flat top pink & white brush & set with a very thin layer of Tarte’s Amazonian Clay powder foundation. This is EVERYTHING! My contour went on well, my highlighter, everything! It wears beautifully throughout the day and best of all it doesn’t look cakey or feel like I’m wearing any foundation at all. Ladies - run, don’t walk!

This is basically liquid gold. For the affordable price of 12.99 (at Ulta) you get this amazing foundation that is comparable to MUCH higher end foundations that could cost you between 30-60 dollars. You are absolutely getting the best bang for your buck with this foundation. I am shocked at how amazing this formula is! It is dewy - perfect for dry skin - it gives such a beautiful natural glow, with medium coverage. It doesn’t feel cakey, it doesn’t settle into creases, it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing ANYTHING, it’s so lightweight. I would say the coverage is medium, it covered my acne scarring and redness, and it claims to be buildable, I only used a little and it completely covered my whole face and problem areas! My ONLY issue with this is that the very lightest shade is still a little too dark for my skin tone. However, when I get on my powders, eye makeup, and take it down my neck a little, it blends together pretty well. I applied it with a damp beauty blender and it went on quickly, effortlessly, and blended out flawlessly. It has SPF 20 which is wonderful to protect the skin from the sun. This foundation does everything it claims to do, and definitely just makes you look.. healthy! I ABSOLUTELY recommend this to anyone who loves the look of satin/dewy/healthy, hydrated, and even toned skin!

Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation SPF 20 I’ve been SO obsessed with this foundation!! For starters the component on this is literally stunning. It looks very luxe, especially for a drugstore foundation. I’m in the fairest shade LC1 & for physicians formula if you have ever reviewed their shade range in the past they did a pretty decent job in comparison to other foundations they have produced previously. The ingredients are bomb. It contains spf 20 which is wonderful for day time wear. Secondly the finish of this is absolutely stunning. It’s one of those “your skin but better” foundations. It doesn’t cling to dry patches, it doesn’t emphasize texture, it feels amazing on the skin, it doesn’t dry it out or make it feel stiff in the least. Now for all my FC ladies this is definitely not Full coverage but you can however build it up without it getting cakey or gross to about a solid medium coverage which I actually do love bc if I lay down an illuminating primer you can actually see your skin & luminosity peeking through. Despite it having spf 20 it does fantastic with flash photography, I do not get any flash back at all what so ever. It blends beautifully whether you’re using cream or powder products It’s non comedogenic so it won’t clog your pores or make your skin break out, it has hyaluronic acid to help retain moisture, it has a brightening complex which I know sounds odd but I kid you not I’ve been using this foundation essentially every day for roughly the past month or so & my old acne scars & hyper-pigmentation have decreased dramatically, my dry patches are gone (which also is a result of exfoliating regularly) & my skin feels more hydrated & plump. I can’t say enough amazing things about this. I cannot put it down!!

I so wanted to love this foundation when I purchased it, with the great reviews and the claims of it being the “Healthy Foundation”. The first time I used it I was in love, it applied so smoothly and blended so nice and the finish looked like my own skin with medium-full coverage while looking natural. However, the next morning I woke up with a breakout on my chin, and I had taken off my makeup the night before like I always do. I chalked it up to hormonal changes I was going through during that weekend. So I didn’t wear anything until the blemish went away, and decided to try again. I wore it for a full 12 hours, removed it before bed crossing my fingers, and by the afternoon of the following day, I had not one, but two very large breakouts on my chin again. Now I get the average breakout here or there, usually on my chin, but this was honestly the worst pimple I have ever had in my life. It was huge, red, painful, and took a week and a half of no products whatsoever to finally start to go away. Unfortunately, this is not a product that I will buy again, and I’m so sad because it’s difficult for me to find a foundation that I love, but I can’t justify these breakouts for one day or night of flawless looking skin.
