I was unfamiliar with hue When I purchase this. As silly as it sounds and didn't dawn on me. That I needed an app to work the light. My son had to point that out to me. Once we got the app figured out it's a nice little ambience light.

Loved the product, lastes like 1 or 2 years with them already, but I think I may have to buy another pair of LED lights.( Will buy cheaper options).
