Things to remember: Water temperature: Aquatic plants require a tropical community aquarium with watertemperaturesranging between 72-78,o F (22-26,o C). Use an aquariumheater to maintainwater temperature. Adding plants: Whether you're just starting your aquarium or introducing newplants into your tank, make sure to add only one or two plants at atime. Lighting: Most tropical plants require sunlight each day, year round. Theduration and consistency are essential for plants to thrive. Natural aquariums must be equipped with the means to provide 12hours of simulated sunlight each day. Plant fertilizer: Fertilizer should only be added according to the dosageinstructions on the label, and only when needed (as in the case ofa water change). Plants will grow best if fertilized moderately andregularly after water changes rather than given larger quantitiesof fertilizer on a less-regular basis. Fish and plants: Small schooling fish are highly recommended for a natural plantedaquarium; larger fish often uproot plants. Petsmart Amazon Sword, Green
It was ok... I ended up having to buy more plants in addition to the two I already had in my 10 gallon tank. The goldfish I had in the tank tend to eat on the leafs. It barely help bottom feeder with algae.
This is a wonderful addition to any plant aquarium and is a bargain for the price you pay considering it doesn’t take long for this plant to grow almost twice it’s size depending on the climate and environment it is planted in. Requires little to no maintenance other than the occasional trim, and looks so stunning in an aquarium with its lovely shade of green. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to lively up their aquarium
This was a great plant to use for my fish tank. It lasted long time and my fish really enjoyed it. The price was decided. Definitely recommend for those looking for plants
I selected amazon swords for my angelfish fresh water tank because i think they provide a more natural environment for the fish. They seem to enjoy the secluded environment these plants provide. The plants are healthy ( 3 years later) and they grew without taking over the tank.
Not really a whole lot to say, bought multiples for in my tank, good price as well. All still alive and thriving months later. They make my tank look nicer and I'm sure my fish enjoy having a planted tank lol. would buy again, and I would recommend getting plants from petsmart to others.
The plants themselves keep up pretty well even though they are kept in the store for what I feel are long periods of time. Other than that it’s just a little on the pricey side but I think worth the convenience. I bought a couple of these back in August and they are thriving and growing well.
Really helped liven up my tank!!! Beautiful lush green color that really drew attention to the whole tank. My neighbors complimented how nice my tank looked! Definitely recommend, perfect decoration!
This is one of the worst ppl lants from petsmart ive ever bought. I jave very healthy perimeters for my tank. This still provmceeded to die and as per usual petsmart has parasites on their plants.
While these plants are not cheap, they’re great if you like live plants in your tank. They were very healthy and are still doing great about a year later. Remember you have to trim the dead leaves off.
I love the amazon sword! I had 2 planted in a guppy tank before moving them to a larger tank, and the transfer was a breeze. These plants I have - have been alive since 2011
