Does anyone else think the colored cheddar goldfish taste different from the regular cheddar goldfish...or is it just my imagination? I swear they taste different but my son says they're the same just different colors.

The crackers taste diffrent due to their ingredients for dying them. They are colored with natural ingredients like beet juice concentrate and other things like that. I had the need to do research when I noticed.

They sure do have a different taste. I believe it is from the dye that is used! I personally think the original are the best! I usually end up eating them myself...LOL!! My oldest really likes the cupcake flavored ones. Soooo many choices, so little time ;-)

They totally taste different. Its a texture difference as well. Its like the dye that they use makes them less light and fluffy. While the colors are fun...we stick to the original.

I don't think they're supposed to taste different, but they do because of the coloring.

I haven't tried the colored goldfish because of that same thing! Sometimes just the color being different is off setting. Remember when they came out with green and purple ketchup?

Most likely it's your mind playing tricks on you. If someone gave you green milk and told you to drink it you would have a hard time drinking it because it's not a natural color, it's the same concept with these colored goldfish I'm guessing. But really, they're all delicious!

I never had a problem, and since most kids have enough saliva.. haha! they definitely dissolve easily, but if you are concern, cut 'em on half or crumble 'em. :) Just keep an eye out. Good luck!

The colored ones have less flavor. I got them for my one year old son thinking it would make snack time a little more appealing and he didn't even care for them.

I think they taste different as well. I'm not sure why though. Just like when they came out with the different colored ketchup. I started sticking to the colors that they are supposed to be like red ketchup and orangey goldfish lol
