The Penn pursuit iv is probably one of the more iconic fishing rod and reels because of the fact that it is so good for its price the Penn pursuit can handle about anything from bass and bluegill to bull reds and sharks the Penn pursuit is great for saltwater fishing because of it durably and the fact it is quite resistant to corrosion from the saltwater and the rod won’t snap under intense pressure the reel is also extremely smooth and the casting distance is insane the size is good for about everything and the balance is somewhat in there but can be modified into other rods and reels for top performance like the ugly stik gx2 or big water and king cat rod it is a great rod for beginners and seasoned fisherman bottom line have at least one or two.

The comfortably and performance you get out of the rod combo is a very good option for stripped bass or using live bait also a decent option for catfish as well
