The Afterglow Wired Controller is a really cool plug and play replacement controller for the Xbox that offers the same OEM quality but some really striking features. The clear plastic shell reveals all of the complex internals, and frankly looks really cool. When active, the LED lights are immediately noticed and improve the cosmetics of the controller tenfold. The light level is perfect as ambience and is not intrusive at all – even in a completely dark room. I had been battling battery issues with the OEM wireless controllers, so this wired model solved all of those issues singlehandedly (and the detachable cord is generously long at 8 feet). The lights, mapping, and many other options are customizable in an Xbox app, so the controller truly becomes whatever you want it to be. I am really impressed with the build quality and am confident that it will not fail or wear. I’ll be replacing my OEM controllers with more ASAP – it’s that good!
