I am very acne prone and tend to break out occasionally. The unfortunate part is that every time I break out, I’m left with a dark spot/blemish. Because of that, I have been on the search for products that will minimize the occurrence of breakouts and promote faster resolution of breakouts. I typically don’t use bar soaps on my face so this was going to be different for me. The main active ingredient was the benzoyl peroxide and it didn’t have much else other than glycerin. It’s also advertised to be none drying. I used it on my face at a time when I had an active breakout. I used it for 3 nights in a row. The soap was unscented. It did feel a bit drying and I had to use hydrating products. I noticed that the pimple began to melt away and by day 4/5, it was a flat blemish. The issue I had with this soap is that 10% benzoyl peroxide is a very high dose, especially for someone who is naive to it. The instructions even mention you can use it twice a day. I usually alternate nightly between AHA and retinol which I continued to use. After using it daily for 3 nights, my skin barrier got completely damaged. My skin was burning and I had to revert to gentle, soothing and skin barrier building products to recover my skin barrier. The bar soap does what is it supposed to it but I will probably not use it more than 3 times a week, and will not use any actives/retinol on the night it is used. If you have a single pimple, I will recommend just focusing it on that rather than using it on the whole face.

This product helped get rid of my monthly acne spots. It helped diminish red spots, made my skin feel tight and looked clean and glowing! I really liked this acne bar. Easy to lather and use.
