Using 60p/50p, the frame rate has twice the information of 30p for smoother motion. If youre ready for 4K, this is how you do it. Versatile Formats and Bit Rates: Versatile formats and bit rates make the X1000 unbeatable in a wide range of applications. Its AVCHD, MOV and MP4 formats make editing quick and easy. I pretty much love this camera. It is absolutely great for shooting in low-light scenarios (horror films, ha), though the image becomes a little grainy and hard to adjust when you're running with the wide-open iris and full gain, so I suggest using a small light set-up if you can. The customization options are great, but holy cow is there quite a bit to keep track of in order to get the best picture out of this thing. One reviewer here, named "JP", already listed some great settings for a clear, grain-reduced picture. These are great specs, though I would make one slight adjustment to them... "Under Camera Set Up -Customize Scene 1 -Detail Level -7 -V Detail Level -7 -Detail Coring -7 -DRS Effect 1 -Gamma HD Norm -Knee Auto -Matrix Cine-Like -NR Control +7 **However, I would change the NR Control to NEGATIVE seven rather than POSITIVE 7. At a +7, you'll begin to see a strange green ghost trailing behind your subjects when you zoom in on them and move the cam or if the subject moves in-frame. Setting NR Control to -7 makes you lose a little saturation, but nothing that a little post-production color correction can't handle.** All in all, definitely worth the price. So long as I don't drop the thing (knock on wood) I'll be using this little guy for years to come.
