I guess because it's plastic, it somehow got damaged/"stained" when I measured freshly squeezed lemon juice (for homemade lemonade) and now it has this dirty/foggy appearance all over the clear plastic no matter how many times I've scrubbed and washed it (my only guess is maybe the acidity from the lemon juice did this??). Has anyone else had this problem or do you know how to get rid of it? It's not damaged and it doesn't have any residue on it, but no matter how much I clean it, it still always APPEARS dirty even though it's clean.

It's coroded so it'll never be shinny again. This type of measuring cup is used to skimming stocks, and lower acid foods than straight lemon juice. Get glass ones- nothing is less porous than glass!
