Cherry chestnut will give you a red tint if you have dark hair and purple hair for lighter colored hair. Makes hair super smooth. It's semi permanent and I can get about 2 uses out of 1 jar with short hair

My expectations were low when I tried Overtone. My hair is virgin and so dark it’s almost black in some lighting, so I figured any color would struggle to take hold / show. I decided I would try the “for brown” colors first, then the “extreme” colors if that didn’t work. Overtone Rose Gold for Brown Hair is very conditioning and easy to use with minimal staining, but it barely showed in my hair. At most, I could see a hint of a soft red when I looked at my hair in the sun at certain angles. Extreme red, on the other hand, has given my hair a much easier to see red sheen. I’m sure this product is great for some people, but if you have truly dark hair, skip the “for brown hair” line and just go Extreme.

I loved this for a new look! I have medium-dark brown hair with some blond highlights. This color attached to my hair pretty well leaving a red tinge to my hair. I will say, it did not wash out very well. The darker parts of my hair went back to dark, but the lighter parts remained red until I cut it off.
