I like this waffle maker. I wasnt sure about it at first, but the more im using it, the more i like it. It can make some delicious golden, crispy belgian waffles. The trick is to make sure to butter the plates and let the waffles completely cook the steam out to get then golden and crispy. Also, batter does matter. I was using the Kodiak Cakes batter at first which never really crisped up much. I tried a Krusteaz batter and their recipe for waffles, and those turned out perfect. Next, the price is very very affordable! It is cheaply made, and isnt an attractive appliance, but it does the job. The plates are quite thin and feel kinda cheap, but the nonstick is working so far and while it says it can be in the dishwasher, i have stuck to handwashing because i dont trust that the plates wont get damaged in the dishwasher. It's nice to be able to take the plates out to wash them afterwards. It has a locking lid which is nice for cooking and storing the appliance. It heats up quick and the lights on the device work. Overall, very pleased with this appliance and definitely recommend it.
