Sand-blasting skin with coarse, chemical crystals? How painfully passé. Here's age-smoothing exfoliation without irritation. Skin-refining Rice Starch, cushioned in cream, shows real affinity for rapidly removing sluggish cells, uneven patches and signs of skin damage and discolorations. Lemon Oil kick starts the process of illumination. Another age-sweeping action: skin-menacing molecules are mopped up. All while Aloe keeps skin calm and comfy. There's no ouch, extra steps or other complications. No redness or flaking follows. The before-and-afters are amazing. Signs of fine lines and size of pores appear to shrink in size. Skin looks perfectly polished, smooth and luminous. And the perk-me-up aromas of Bergamot and Peppermint help you look on the bright side.

  • "I LOVE just about all things Origins, but Modern Friction is definitely one of my MUST HAVE products. I love that it is gentle enough to use on sensitive skin. For a milder exfoliation experience you can use water and for a more abrasive exfoliation apply the product to dry skin. This stuff is amazing. It deeply cleanses the skin and sloughs off dead skin cells; revealing new and refreshed skin. It does not irritate or dry the skin, however, it can irritate the heck out of your sure to keep them closed." in 188 reviews

The best exfoliating face wash hands down. A little goes a long way so it's definitely a product that lasts! The smell is great and it leaves your skin perfectly clean and soft. Origins offers free little samples but once you try it, you're going to get hooked!

I swear by Origins Modern Friction! It's a mild smell, so I like that it's not over powered perfume. I use it like once a week and it leaves my skin soft and free on the dry skin patches! Definitely worth giving it a try.

My favorite exfoliator! I use this twice a week and it immediately eliminates dry patches or dullness. It's a dense, concentrated formula with both mechanical and chemical exfoliators, so you only need a little bit.

This is an interesting exfoliater. The texture is very different, you really do have to use it on dry skin, massage in, then add water and continue massaging. It really doesn't work as well on wet skin. If you use it right, it is very gentle and effective.

It does a wonderful job of exfoliating! It smells so refreshing, and it truly does help cleanse the pours. It definitely met my expectations! I tried it at a friend's house before buying it for myself, and I was not displeased in the smallest bit!

Holy grail product for sure. It exfoliates lightly, but does not irritate the skin. I have very sensitive skin and this works great for me. I use it about 3-4 times a week and it helps me with my dry patches so much!

I wish I could give this product 10 stars! The combination of lemon oil and rice powder helped keep my skin become break out free and greatly improved my skins texture. I use this every other day before bed, and am always surprised to see how much dead skin is sloughed off. Afterwards, my skin glows!!

This leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth. It smells amazing, kind of like rice pudding, and just feels so good on my skin. It never irritates my skin or causes sensitivity like a lot of other exfoliators do.

I have extremely rough skin on my cheeks. I love the checks and balances cleanser by origins, I'm looking for a good exfoliator. Does this show good results?

I received this sample from sephora. I'm confused about what this is. Is it a cleanser, a serum, a moisturizer or a mask? Also, I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. Should I even try this? Microdermabrasion in the name makes me think good for my acne, bad for my sensitive skin. But since I'm not even sure what this is, maybe someone can help.
