Not sure if it works or not but I have blonde hair and I don’t have any other products like this to maintain it. I like using it with my purple shampoo. It’s something I can use everyday that I feel like maintains my color while I can only use the shampoo like once a week. It makes ur hair soft and silky too. & smells good
