- "I LOVE LOVE LOVE OCC Lip Tars, they are all I need in my makeup kits and the only lip products I really keep. You can mix the colors to create new colors, they go on like a gloss and dry to a matte lipstick finish. They last for hours, and easily top with clear gloss for high shine. You need to apply these with a lip brush for the best results, a teeny tiny drop is really all you need and if you use too much you will have them feathering. They may seem pricey but a tube lasts a LONG time and if you are a MUA they are an awesome value! **In the photo strumpet is on the left and trollop on the right." in 37 reviews

Got this on sale for $5 and i just ordered 2 more because it looks like the color is being discontinued! what a shame because it is SO beautiful. it is a perfect bronzy nude for my nc40 skin. the color is buildable, not dry, and the subtle metallic sheen makes it very wearable. i wore this to a steak house and after my meal, it was still on! definitely a must have.

I tried this color in comparison to the Limecrime Black Velvet but found that even knowing that the lipstick feathers, that it didn't meet my expectations, especially in comparison to the hype. It spreads over time and doesn't dry as matte as Id like. It also comes off super easy so any kind of eating or drinking is out of the question. Nevertheless, color pay off is perfect, it's easy to apply and is a lot of fun but I don't think it's the best of it's kind.
I've heard sp much about OCC Lip Tars and i finally got a chance to see them with my own eyes in sephora a few weeks ago! I saw a sample/trial and decided to use some! I didn't have a brush to apply at the time which was fine so i used my fingers. I think the one i tried was "vintage" and it is described as a deep burgundy. So put it on and it went on so smooth. It smelled minty and it went on kind of organgy at first but then once it started to dry it dried true to color. i love OCC lip tars after trying it and once i get the guts to actually buy a few (the price is outrageous) then i definitely will! These might actually be my birthday or christmas wish!

This is such a fun hot pink. It's got the standard OCC smell/texture and is really comfortable on the lips. Since it's a gloss and intended to be sheerer than the Tars, a lip liner is not needed. It leaves a sweet looking stain on my lips. I got this in a Test Tube size in a Sephora summer set - while I may not buy this color again, I will likely get another OCC gloss, especially if the packaging is being changed to be more convenient to reapply in public spaces.

If lips were naturally shimmery and bright pink, this is EXACTLY how I'd want mine to appear. This is no different in consistency than other liptars - only use a little bit, use some lip balm first and lipliner is important! The color is amazing though. I find with the shimmery lip tars I don't get as long of a wear time as the regular ones, but it's not awful to have to reapply every few hours. This is a must have!
At first, it killed me to pay $16 for such a tiny tube. It didn't take me long to figure out just how much I'd grow to love it. It stays put all day, no questions asked, and is super easy to mix to get the exact color you desire. My favorite technique is to use Iced, the white metallic lip tar, and mix it with whatever lip color I'm looking to jazz up. Works every time. Just be extra sure to apply lip balm before hand. You'll thank yourself later.
I own a pack with 4 colors from a few years ago (holiday kit from Sephora) but never really used them because they werent easy to travel with and reapply. Anyway, fast foward to present day RTW version. I bought Fleshworld (wearing in the photograph) recently from Beautylish. What a beautiful color! Ive worn it twice so far. I dont like that it never dries and that it easily transfers. That being said, my lips feel moisturized and it lasts extremely well through food and drink. Very impressed.
These lip tars were amazing! they are THE original liquid lipsticks in my opinion but the brand was completely underrated. you only need the most minute amount of product in order to spread it all over your lips. it's highly pigmented and opaque, so you never had to worry about any blotchiness. the only thing is, with this old packaging, is that the oils would separate from the pigment and it would be difficult to mix them up properly again.

In my opinion, this set gives you the most bang for your buck. Lydia, Hoochie, and Pretty Boy are all great shades of wine, fuschia, and pink that look good on everyone. Kava Kava is a light peachy tone for that Kardashian look. And Iced? It's the perfectly white metallic to lighten and add a little sparkle to any of these shades. Worn alone it's pretty thin and would need liner and base. Really the best bang for your buck!

I'm giving this 3 stars because of the sticky mess that you have to deal with when storing the product. The packaging leaves something to be desired. It did however have good lasting power and the color stayed true. The application process can be tricky but can be perfected so it looks amazing when you get it figured out. I would buy this product again if they came out with a better way to store the little brush that comes with it.
