  • "I LOVE LOVE LOVE OCC Lip Tars, they are all I need in my makeup kits and the only lip products I really keep. You can mix the colors to create new colors, they go on like a gloss and dry to a matte lipstick finish. They last for hours, and easily top with clear gloss for high shine. You need to apply these with a lip brush for the best results, a teeny tiny drop is really all you need and if you use too much you will have them feathering. They may seem pricey but a tube lasts a LONG time and if you are a MUA they are an awesome value! **In the photo strumpet is on the left and trollop on the right." in 37 reviews

I bought this product because of the color and chrome like finish. The color is beautiful... definitely not for everyday though. Application is difficult with a color like this, a lip brush is mandatory. This will get messy... and touch ups are definitely difficult on the go. My favorite way to use this is to add dimension to the center of a black liquid matte lip.

I have the color vintage and Black Dahlia but I'm now reviewing vintage that's a color that really really goes with like color skin is very pigmented and moisturizing it is not drying at all I'll go it tends to feather when you use a clear lip liner around to you line your lips first and then you put the tar on and it does not feather it does not come off yes you have to be reapplying it because this is like a glass it doesn't stay on like a liquid lipstick but it's really good the pigmentation is amazing and they are super super cheap super affordable so if it's in anybody's budget you can carry it and usually comes with the small applicator which is a brush and that brushes really good quality bristles and fix anywhere to so you can carry with you for retouching Anytime of day

This was a little bit too much for me.  You have to use only a small dot, and it is very liquidy.  If you mess up, it gets everywhere and it is almost impossible to get off.  I guess if you are skilled at makeup and just want something that is going to last, this might be great for you.

The shade range comes in daring shades not meant for the shy. They're tricky to get the hang of but once you figure out how to properly use them they're awesome. You definitely need to use a good lip primer or pencil with these though otherwise they'll feather super easily. I know lip tars aren't everyone's cup of tea. Especially with the liquid to matte craze going on right now but I LOVE this shade.

I have traffic and hoochie lip tats, these are the ogs of liquid lipsticks. The only problem is it separate a lot so you have to constantly flip it and when you use it a peppermint liquid comes out first then the pigment, but it’s pigmented so a little goes a long way

Oh man these were so messy. I loved the use of bright colors and found an awesome purple but the application was just a messy experience. The color didn’t stay well on my lips for all the effort to get it to look nice.

Fabulous colors, I love them for sure. A little goes a long way! They feather horribly on me, though. Now that I remember that these exist, I've gotta go get a clear lip liner for my blue one!

This really is a lip tar. Once it goes on your skin, it does not come off. If you have a steady hand, that might be a good thing. But if your hand is a little shaky or clumsy, whoopsie, your makeup is ruined for the night. It is impossible to remove. I tried using makeup remover, cleansing oil, cleansing wipes, cleansing gel, Vaseline, nothing worked. The last thing I put on is my lipstick and in my attempts to remove the lip tar that missed my lips and went toward the corner of my mouth, I ended up taking off half of my foundation, primer, blush and contour so I had to take it all off and start over. Even then, the lip tar was slightly visible so I had to use concealer where my hand slipped. This product was way too much work. Since it's a liquid, it dripped onto my desk, onto its own bottle and lid and everything else it touched or sat on and stuck to it. By all means, if you're a pro at applying lip tar, go for it, but this definitely isn't a beginner's product.

By the way, the color I tried was Black Dahlia, which is the blackest red. It was gorgeous, bold and dramatic. I would have loved to have rocked that color. If bold, dark lips are your thing, give this a try.

Always wanted to buy some of this since I first saw it at sephora a few years ago and finally scored a ton of shades on sale at Ricky's NYC. I love the shades and pigmentation of these and how some of them dry but still look a bit glossy. I've found the older formula in the squeeze tubes aren't as great and don't apply as well as the newer "Ready to wear" formula in the tube with applicator but I can't complain either way because they are still better than most other lip colors. I also love that they are made with essential oils and feel minty and refreshing on your lips rather than a chemical smell. The only problem I have with these is removing it completely. I normally use oils to remove lipsticks but these are oil based so it can be a bit difficult.

I have so may of these literally. I have maybe about 10 and I never use them. I made an impulse buy and purchased several of them after seeing a great sale OCC had going on online last year. I had previously tried a bright blue color at Sephora that I liked some years earlier and so I figured why not purchase some. However, I guess I must have forgotten that this formula is messy and slides everywhere. They have great color payoff but you either need to layer with another lipstick or something. Some of the colors like the light pinks that I have look very streaky and uneven when applied alone. I haven't mastered how to get them to apply and wear well so I do not use them often. I wouldn't recommend them to newbies.
