NYX Studio Finishing Powder
I am not a fan of this powder at all. You do not get much product in the container. As you open it, powder flies absolutely everywhere. The holes to let the powder through are much too big and allow the powder to easily fall back into the container as you attempt to pick it up with your beauty blender (or other choice of weapon). I originally bought this to test as a baking powder and was disappointed and found it extremely hard to layer it in the places I wanted. With attempting to bake on darker skin complexions, after brushing it off, you could distinctly see the lines of where the powder was sitting and it left almost a really odd sheen to the face. I would not recommend this powder. Below I included two photos of my hand with a swatch of the translucent powder, one without a flash and one with. As you can see, the flash reveals how the product sits on top of the skin and leaves it very pasty looking despite how pale I am. A much much better translucent powder. would be the RCMA translucent powder. It is a lot more product with a lot better quality.
This is definitely not one of my favorite setting powders. The smell is not very pleasing and makes me sneeze. The product gets in my nose because it doesn't stay on my face when I'm trying to bake it. It doesn't keep my makeup looking as good as my other powders do. And it makes my face white because there's always leftover powder on my face when I try taking it off with a brush. NYX Grinding Powder
Powder fairly finely ground, well matte and does not dry the skin. It lies on the skin in a very thin layer, it is not felt on the face. Reliably captures the tonal basis and at the same time does not change the color of the foundation itself, but it does not last forever, so after a while it will need to be used again to have a dull face. No problem when using. Suitable for girls of combination and oily skin, for dry skin, I do not advise, as it can dry the skin a little. I have a combination skin, and this powder suits me, it has a small face for photoshop, and it looks great in the photo, but you need to apply a thin layer.
This product was amazing for doing the finishing touches of my bride of Frankenstein for Halloween and it kept my make up on with ease and hardly rubbed off.it's packed for easy use like if you were carrying a compact
This isn't the best setting powder I've ever used. It has an odd smell that I cannot really figure out why I don't like it. It doesn't keep my makeup on all day, let alone 12 hours. I will not be repurchasing this product, still on the look for my holy grail.
This is a great transparent powder love how this powder doesn't settle and cake and how smooth it leaves my skin and doesn't make my face look like I have a pound of makeup on. Very affordable and I always get great compliments on my face. I recommend this all time
If I could give no stars I could do it because my really bad experience with it when I used the first time was ok because it does not feel hevy or uncomfortable but the big probles was that when you take pictures with flash you will look like 👻 thats why I will not recommend this product, but I don't want to say that all nyx products are bad I think this is the only thing that I didn't like
This powder does set my face nicely but the flashback is the worst I've ever seen. It smells like flour and looks like it too. It makes dry patches stand out. This powder is okay only if you plan on taking NO pictures. The name says "photogenic" ... No. (pictures show with and without flash) see for yourself
Another hard hitter from NYX that's easy on my budget. Translucent and keeps everything smudge free. It's a white powder but goes on clear. I have purchased this as both Ulta and CVS. As you can see, it's pretty beat up and is a definite replacement.
Terrible! If I could give it no stars, I would. This powder felt thick and was hard to blend over my foundations. Also, flashback city. I hate this powder so much.
Q & A
Is this good for undereye baking?
I've heard that this powder leaves a flashback result. Can anyone tell me if it's true?
Hi, I use NYX matte setting spray with NYX pore filler but it seems that my nose will get more oily despite my makeup staying put. Would this be a good powder to help absorb excess oil around my t zone?
I've been looking for a great finishing powder to try out.. and was wondering if this has a flashback?
I've been looking for a product to bake my face. Is the effective for that purpose?
