NYX Studio Finishing Powder
I did not have a good experience with this powder. It gave me so much flashback. I kept using it to see if maybe I could make it work, but I realized it was just a waste of $...
It does the job but since it's 100% silica, it had REALLY BAD flashback. I use a vanity mirror so I was able to see the flashback right away and it just makes you look like a crack whore. If you're going to use it anyways, use it at night.
I had such high hopes for this powder, but it did not live up to my expectations. It has a very weird, almost plasticy consistency, and applies in clumps. After baking, it appears to be all off until you take a picture, and reveals hidden giant white patches that are very hard to remove. I had to rub my face repeatedly to get it off. Although my makeup stayed well, I would simply splurge for a more high quality, expensive option. The cheaper price tag is not worth the hassle
Love this stuff! Use it everyday to set my concealer with my real techniques setting brush. Keeps my concealer in place under my eye all day. You don't need too much of it like other setting/finishing powders, so a little bit goes a long way
So I have mix reviews about this because I am very oily skinned and I always try to find a setting or finishing powder that will keep my shiny and oily skin from showing while being out for a long time, and because I was trying to find a cheaper product I bought this. So my pro with this product is that when I first put it on it looks great and it makes my face look matte instead of very oily but the con about this product in my opinion is that it doesnt last so long on me because I am so oily
Rivals makeup forever hd powder from what I understand. However I think I'm just biased and do not like powder. Gets too Cakey and pale even if it's translucent and very fine
I use this powder to set my whole face after liquid foundation and then I use it to bake my face. After I finish baking, my makeup is left looking absolutely flawless! Love it.
I bought this because I wanted an extremely fine, translucent powder. I love almost all of NYX's makeup that I've tried so I grabbed this. It was about $11 at my local CVS and there's I believe .23 ounces in it. I think that's a little pricey for a drugstore brand. It does come off a little white even if you use very little. It did make my face matte and less cakey than some other powders but it doesn't help the foundation set longer. My other, cheaper powder that has way more product lasted hours longer than this. It's also extremely messy no matter how you open it. I wouldn't repurchase it at all but I'll use it until it's empty.
It's an ok powder. Would definitely not use it to bake since there is severe flashback. Also when baking can leave skin very patchy and is difficult to dust off with a brush
Standard setting powder. The packaging is cheap, though, so I lost a lot of the product trying to get it out. It kept my makeup in place for several hours but faded eventually.
Q & A
Is this good for undereye baking?
I've heard that this powder leaves a flashback result. Can anyone tell me if it's true?
Hi, I use NYX matte setting spray with NYX pore filler but it seems that my nose will get more oily despite my makeup staying put. Would this be a good powder to help absorb excess oil around my t zone?
I've been looking for a great finishing powder to try out.. and was wondering if this has a flashback?
I've been looking for a product to bake my face. Is the effective for that purpose?
