NYX Lid Lacquer
So I did enjoy this product it gave a very nice finish although I will say it was very sticky on the lid and a bit uncomfortable! The price point is perfect and I definatley think this is a more affordable way to have that glossy looking lid for a good price ! I recommend this to those on a budget or if you just wanna give something else a try this one is cool ! 👌
I have heard so many good things about this lacquer .I have watched many videos where they compare this to the Too Faced Glitter Glue and they say that they work about the same if the NYX one isn't better. I love finding dupes like this because they work the same and they are also way more affordable.
I usually am a huge nyx fan but this was a miss for me. It definitely makes the lid glossy, but it's impossible to wear with eyeshadow underneath or with false lashes. It creases and goops everything. Even mascara wettens and smudges.
As a makeup artist, I would definitely use this product for an editorial/fashion photo shoot for an edgy fashion look. I purchased the black tinted lid gloss, not the clear one. It makes your makeup look "lived in" and gives it that rock n roll look. This product looks really good when you first put it on over black eye shadow, but over time it starts to clump in the crease a little bit. If I were to wear this going out, I would apply this very sparingly in the center of my eye lid, because the more you apply, the more it will crease. This is an affordable, reasonably priced lid gloss you just have to be able to use it correctly.
I don't expect this to be practical for everyday/ long wearing use, I just use this when I wanna do a glossy-eye for a photo. It's amazing for that purpose; very high shine! I can't say whether it creases or not because I never have it on longer than five minutes, but it's kind of the nature of a gloss to crease eye shadow.
I purchased this at Ulta, really excited to try it because I LOVE the glossy lid look. I will say that this definitely gives the glossy lid look but you have to be careful about how much you apply as it can easily seep into your eyes. Also if you wear any pigment or eyeshadow beneath the layer of gloss, just expect that to crease immediately. I have yet to find something that won't crease underneath this gloss. Cool product but I realized that almost any clear lipgloss could achieve the same look lol.
