- Do these pills taste fishy in your mouth when you take them? 2 Answers
I've taken Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA during my pregnancy. I chose this brand after doing some research and the reasons that weight on my decision were the fact that it is a natural brand, non gmo, made with wild caught fish, it's Friend of the Sea certified and doesn't have any fishy aftertaste. The soft gels are soneasy to ingest. Highly recommend.
I've been using this product for a little over a year now (since I found out I was pregnant) and am continuing to use it since I am nursing my daughter. I love that the ingredients are natural and they don't add anything extra! I bought them from Amazon and will continue to purchase! I would definitely recommend, there are no fishy after tastes, no smell and the pills are not too big!
The ingredients are top notch and never smell fishy. I keep them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. Small in size and easy to swallow. They also have added vitamin d which is nice.
DHA helps support the brain, eyes, and CNS in babies, which is why it's important for pregnant and breastfeeding women to take. The problem is that most DHA supplements would give me fishy burps for 1-3 hours after taking them. Nordic Naturals prenatal DHA was the ONLY DHA supplement that did not do this. I had no fishy burps.
I didn't even realize my Prenatal vitamin didn't include DHA so I was really happy to find a separate supplement to support my baby's development.
I really like these vitamins! The last couple of vitamins that I have taken, made me sick to my stomach, even taking them at night. But this one doesn't make me throw up more than I already do. :)
Good for what they are, not super expensive and no annoying side effects. Will definitely buy again.
I've been taking this DHA along with my prenatal, and I'm impressed that I haven't had any fish burps!
I have been taking these for 7 months and really like them. There is no fishy taste/burp at all - I found that it was hard to find a product like this. They also seem to be highly recommended and a great brand.
I have taken fish oils almost my whole life, and once pregnant, I increased my intake. These have no fishy smell or taste (hooray!), and actually....I just bought the Whole Foods brand. The employee told me that Nordic Naturals is the manufacturer (if that's the correct word), but it is labeled under the Whole Foods brand for much cheaper. Keep on supporting mine and the baby's CNS, you good old fish oils.
