I got this as a gift from my mom. I read the instructions and tried to use it, but honestly, using anything new for hair removal always scares me. This tool is great in theory but it removes hair by burning it. My hair is very black and thick, and as I did passes on my legs, I could smell the burning, but saw no difference on my legs. I guess you have to only use it on the right angle, which is hard to do on a body because bodies are curvy. I kept trying different angles, got burned, and have not used it again since. It is easier and faster to just shave.

No no works really well at removing hair but it does take a lot of time to remove ALL the hair. I found it takes hours to do a small area completely so I usually do this when I have lots of time to spare. It works by burning the hairs but there's no burning sensation, however you definitely smell the burnt hair smell so do this where you can ventilate the room. As for if it's permanent hair removal we'll I can't say for sure because hair grows, it could be a totally new hair or it could be the old hair. I don't know. I know that there's a lot less hair growth after using this regularly for a long time. Would I spend the hundreds of dollars for this? No. I found this at a thrift shop, totally sealed in its Kerrigan package for $4. Someone obviously didn't want it after getting it as a gift so their loss my gain. It works but it takes a long time
