Good aroma and effective results from the first use against dandruff. I like the results , you only need to use it for 3 weeks for the results to be permanent.
My son’s Doctor recommended 2 hair soaps to alternate every other week for his itchy, red, bumpy scalp and Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Ketoconazole 1% Shampoo was one of the two over-the-counter prescriptions.
After dying my hair a few weeks later, sometimes my head itches too, and I decided to start using it as well. My son and I both see improvement. It is simple to use. I use it twice a week during the week that I’m supposed to use it. All I do is get in the shower to wet my hair, then I massage some of this into my hair and onto my scalp. I lather it and leave it in for several minutes before I rinse it out.
The scent is fresh and clean smelling. It is a creamy pretty blue colored soap. Out of the 2 products, this is the one we both prefer. It not only smells good, it works excellent. This does seem to help with flakes and scalp buildup up. This is recommended by our pediatrician for my son’s Seborrheic Dermatitis and dandruff. My son has this and the look on his scalp can appear as acne under his hair. It can get inflamed so any help is nice and this is some help. He said it makes his head not itch. Which means he scratches less and heals quicker.
This is also advertised to control flaking, scaling and itching associated with dandruff as it has the 1% Ketoconazole. It is also supposed to help control fungus that can cause dandruff.
Winter is coming and with the changes in my skin and hair. This season I always shower with hotter water than normal, which makes dandruff appear in my hair. Thanks to a friend's recommendation, I bought this shampoo and wow, I used it 3 times and the hateful dandruff disappeared. highly recommended
