No it will actually dry up acne or just a single zit. It works very well. Just make sure you have a skin care routine in place. For example: I wash my face with the neutrogena daily wash, then you can use an acne toner by neutrogena. Use an eye makeup remover. Get any and all makeup off you face. Since I use the face wash, toner, which will dry up pimples, I use Garnier gel moisturizer. At night only, put the On-the Spot Acne treatment. You want your skin to be totally clean before applying the treatment. You may also was to try a masque for acne. The idea is to dry out your skin and then use a gel moisturizer.
