While Needtobreathe have always carefully straddled the divide between sacred and secular music, their emergence as bona fide mainstream rock stars is due in large part to their knack for consistently delivering arena-sized epics that appealingly mix Coldplay-esque modern rock with rootsy Carolina stomp. It's a formula they've followed since their 2006 debut, Daylight, with each subsequent album making frequent pendulum swings that showcase both their rock and folk sides. Though the band has been together since 2000, it wasn't until 2011's The Reckoning that brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart along with bassist Seth Bolt attained the kind of success they'd been slowly building toward. I Love this album. There is so much soul. The lyrics are so powerful and meaningful. It is easy to get lost in. Also can we talk about the voices and southern rock and folk influences.

This is so good. They are amazing live too. I see them any chance I get. Buy this, don't stream it, to support a great band.

Great first studio album of this rock band that I really like. Highly recommended to listen, well, does not look much like the other bands in South Carolina.

Needtobreathe is such an amazing band and this CD shows that wonderfully! They have a Jon Forman (of Switchfoot) kind of feel. I like the packaging of this CD as well, because it is smaller and made out of cardboard. I hate storing CD cases, so this design takes up less space which I appreciate. LOVE this CD!
