- "Nears is a great product and this lip pencil is great, it's nice and creamy and I can match it with a lot of my lipsticks I already have! " in 460 reviews
I love how smooth this matte cream is and how it almost feels moisturizing. It doesn't feel dry or tacky on the lips. And the shade range is beautiful and inclusive to every skin tone. Not to mention the beautiful names of shades that come from all around the world. MY FAVORITE IS CRUELLA it's perfect red on every skintone and for every wedding or holiday season. I have Nars Lip Pencil in the color Rikugien and would recommend this highly! I have fair skin with freckles and find myself reaching for this product when I want a more natural lip color. This color works when you are looking for a “pretty” shade rather than edgy, but you’ll definitely get your bang for your buck with how much you wear it. I find it as an amped up color of my natural lip color. I got a few samples for free a couple heads neck from Sephora and am almost out. I plan on purchasing more when I’m done! In terms of wear, I would rank this as a middle of the road. It doesn’t ever feel “dry” per say and feels more satin-like oh my lips. However, it does last a relatively long time and is pretty pigmented, and when it does fade, it fades into my natural lip color, except around the edges of my lips where the color is still more pronounced. Oh cruella how I love thee so! 😩🙌 I initially got this as my birthday gift from Sephora but after using to the very last bit I had to have it again. It just glides on like a dream with such wonderful pigment and while it doesn’t budge it still has this wonderful satiny feel to it so your lips never feel dry. Plus it smells absolutely amazing, this is the best color of red and a wonderful formula, I would definitely consider buying different colors!
These are fantastic and awesome for travel or to just throw in your bag. When they named this product, they weren’t kidding. My lips feel so buttery smooth when I wear these, it’s ridiculous! The color payoff is great. They last until I have a meal, but they’re so convenient, it no problem at all to quickly reapply. These are a forever staple in my lipstick bag. Yes, I carry a bag with just lippies!😉NARS Satin Lip Pencil💄

I love this lip pencil. This color is subtle but yet adds such a nice color to my lips. I do have to reapply it through out the day and I also find that it will get on glasses, food, etc. I love the shape and size of the pencils, they're easy to throw in my clutch or pocket and carry around all day.
I only want to leave 2 or 3 stars because of how greatly susceptible it leaves me to have, always, some level of unwanted color transfer. No matter what it stays true to being matte. After each use it would leave my lips in worse condition. During wear it’s uncomfortable, it’s like a major drying sensation which causes my lip’s skin to crinkle and feel as delicate and thin as tissue paper. I’d definitely advise give your lips an ultimate dose of tlc both before and after reaching to a NARS pencil. In my experience, without going around my lips with concealer, has been a disappointing no-go because the color is frighteningly runny. If possible, avoid sweating. I ruined an important tan work shirt, and the stain is everlasting. At least it certainly adds a pop of color. I accredit this lippie to my introduction to wearing a punchy bright pink lip.
Love it BUT you will need a sharpener to use it. Yes - duh - but my regular sharpener opening was too small for this pencil so I came back and bought the NARS sharpener. I have concerns about how many applications are in this pencil, as I had to sharpen it after using it only a few times. But I do love the color and consistency on my lips of the product
This matte lip pencil lasts for 12 hours and doesn’t wear off! I was so pleased to hear that the Nars satin pencil was as good as everyone said it was. I’ve owned multiple satin lip pencils and haven’t been disappointed yet. I would buy this again but it’s not my holy grail lipstick! NARS Satin Lip Pencil
I purchased this, because I've been looking for a pretty, bright color for spring that isn't pink. This color looks great one me - it actually brightens my complexion a bit, which is a huge plus. It's not super long-wearing for me, I did have to reapply it a few times, but the reapplication wasn't constant. It's a great color, the pigmentation is beautiful, and it's very creamy. The sheen it leaves is gorgeous, and Lodhi is really the perfect spring color for fair skin. I will definitely look into other colors in this range.

Q & A
Will this dry out my lips?
SERIOUS AND HELPFUL ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE I absolutely love this lip pencil, I got it b a a trial and then bought the full size. I've been using it for about a half of a year now, however, as of late I have had trouble with my lips being abnormally dry. I've never had problems with chapped lips. I stopped using lip products for a week and it cleared up, but when I started using it again they chapped again. This has only been within last few weeks. I'm curious as to whether anyone else has experienced this and what they did to remedy it. I don't usually use lip primer, but that may be a possibly solution? It could be something unrelated to the lip product, but I'm thinking it is related.
Worth the price?
Is this worth the money? How is the quality? Does it last a while?
Is it really worth the price if it isn't a twist-up pencil? Seems like it would need to be sharpened a lot
