Murphy Original Concentrated Wood Floor Cleaner is one of my secret weapons with my house cleaning business. I love the smell and it makes my client's floors shine (I don't have any wooden floors or I would definitely use it too.) I also use it to clean wooden cabinets in kitchens and bathrooms and it seems to work miracles.
I don't know what else you'd use for your wood floors. It leaves your floors clean with a nice sheen that isn't too unnatural. It seems to give floors a little buffer of protection as well, but that could be just me. I do like the scent though. It smells clean. It can get overpowering though if you don't dilute your cleaner.
This soap is super gentle on wood floors and really great about removing stains and stuck on spots also. It's also not too soapy or slippery as long as you aren't using too much. It's a solid floor cleaner, but I can not stand the scent of it! It's this weird lemony scent that doesn't fit for wood floors, and just the fragrance blended with the oil smells a little funky to me. I recently discovered the Method version of this soap which is made with sweet almond oil and I love the almond scent much better, but this soap does clean more thoroughly.
I do not have any carpet in my house so on my tile I will use Clorox vinegar and a little bit of dawn and it works out beautifully and everything else is Hardwood and Murphy's hardwood floor cleaner is literally a lifesaver. I swear that it leaves a nice ice machine and polish for a good two and a half weeks before I need to do the main floors were a lot of traffic is again. I also use Murphy's instead of using Pledge on anything other in my home that is wooden because it works just as well and I also preserves the wood much better.
When I had first moved into my most recent house, I had never had hard wood floors before and was unsure of how to keep them clean. I tried other things that just did not work, or would leave a residue or stickiness to my floors. A friend recommended that I try Murphy's and it was a life saver. It doesn't have a strong chemically odor like most cleaners, and it works really well at cleaning the floors, with no residue. I also use this to wipe down my wooden cabinets and keep them nice and clean.
Plain and simple- nothing cleans hardwood flooring and furniture better than Murphy's Oil Soap! My parents and grandparents used this product and I do, as well. It smells great and makes your wood items look brand new again! There isn't another product like it!
I love everything about this soap. I notnonlynuse it on my floors but use it for my window seals, baseboards, walls, cabinets, you name it. It cleans without drying out the wood and I love the way my house smells when I'm done with it.
This is absolutely an amazing wood floor cleaner that cleans, shines & smells amazing. I've always used Murphys on my hard wood floors & on my furniture. I even trust it on my antique furniture. My house smells amazing after we use this! I'd recommend to anyone that loves their Harwood or wooden furniture. Love it!!!
This is concentrated, so be sure to mix it with warm water, but it does a wonderful job of cleaning and conditioning wood floors (as well as wood furniture, doors, etc...), and it smells heavenly! Sometimes I wipe my wood furniture down with after I dust just to condition the wood (and to have that scent in the house). My family owns a furniture store and I've always known that to take care of wood you use Murphy's Oil Soap.
I only use this brand on my floors! It cleans and leave a great smell. The product is reasonable and will last you a very long time since you only need to use a little bit! It leaves a great shine on your floors!!!!
Q & A
So I just new floors but they're fake hard wood floors. My landlords have told me not to use anything more but a swifter to clean the floors and I just don't feel like they come clean. Would this still be good even though they're fake?
Does this work well on laminate wood floors?
Do they make a better smelling version of this? it does the job but the smell honestly upsets my stomach for some reason.
Is this good or no plz tell me because need to try new things
Can you use it on laminate flooring?
