I recently tried the Undone Beauty Multi-Dimensional Holographic Black Mascara, and unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. While I was drawn in by the innovative concept of a holographic mascara that promises to elevate the classic black formula, the product ultimately fell flat. Firstly, the application was quite disappointing. The mascara had a thick, clumpy consistency that made it difficult to achieve an even coat on my lashes. Instead of the bold, defined look I was hoping for, I found my lashes were weighed down and stuck together, which is not ideal for anyone looking for a fluttery, voluminous effect. Even after multiple attempts, I was unable to achieve a sleek result. Moreover, the so-called "multi-dimensional holographic" effect was barely noticeable. Instead of a stunning iridescent shimmer, it felt more like a marketing gimmick than an actual enhancement. The holographic elements seemed lost when applied to my lashes and I found myself questioning if I really applied the mascara correctly at all. Another drawback was the wear time. After just a few hours, I noticed significant smudging under my eyes, which is not what you want from a mascara marketed to be long-lasting. Touching up throughout the day is a hassle, and I expected better performance given the brand’s reputation and price point. Lastly, the removal process was far from easy. I found that the mascara did not come off cleanly, leaving my lashes feeling brittle even after using a gentle makeup remover. This is a considerable downside, as the health of my lashes is incredibly important to me. In conclusion, the Undone Beauty Multi-Dimensional Holographic Black Mascara did not live up to my expectations. Between the clumpy application, lack of a noticeable holographic effect, poor wear, and difficult removal, I would sadly say this product did not meet my needs. I would recommend exploring other options if you're in search of a reliable mascara that truly delivers on its promises.

I'm a false eyelash girl. There I'll admit it. This didn't do much on falsies. I thought it was a fair price. This I would definitely target to the natural lash community.

I purchased this mascara at Ulta within the last couple weeks or so on sale seeing that it was from Undone Beauty which is a brand I have had good luck using another one of their mascaras that is oil free, which is helpful for my milia (skin condition I sometimes have along my upper left lashline) to not grow or become aggravated somehow which can happen and has happened for me in the past with oily eyeliners and mascaras. The wand is relatively simple and although it is the traditional type of wand with non silicone bristles which is generally not my preference, this one somehow seemed to be an exception to my tastes on that, possibly because the spaces between bristles/hairs of the wand were wide or large enough to still allow for good separation and definition to my lashes. I find that the formula for this mascara is also very good for lengthening, as well as even helping to hold a curl in your lashes. I like the 'holographic' effect of this mascara and find it interesting although personally, I would describe it as more like metallic than holographic per se, up close. I purchased mine for $10 at Ulta and given that the ingredients are healthy and this is itself an oil free mascara as well, I have enjoyed using it so far and feel it is a mascara I would be happy to recommend for others to give a try if some of the characteristics above are things they tend to look for or be happy about in their mascara products. 👁️ ✨
