So im an avid mask user. I have oily, acne prone, skin, so masks are always helpful for my type of skin. Im not a fan of peel masks, so i decided to try this heating mask, that i got from Walmart for $1.37. I have been using this brand of masks pretty much all my life with my mother. Now being 27, i take my skin care extremely serious. Upon application, i loved the way it felt once applied. It was a heating sensation that felt wonderful. The heat started to wear off, and it just felt like a gritty mask once applied. I loved the way this mask smelled, and i like how my face glowed after washing off. What i did not like about this mask, was how it felt after 10 minutes sitting on my face. I like a good "burn" but when your skin is burning, that is not good for your skin. A slight tingle is acceptable, but after 10 minutes this mask was literally burning my face off. It felt extremely cheap to me. After i rinsed it all off, my face was smoothe, but not the type of smoothe that felt healthy. It felt almost like a chemical burn type smoothe. Kind of like when you sunburn on your face, your skin peels, and the smoothe skin under the peeled skin type of burn. It did not feel healthy for my face. I was actually worried i had a chemical burn on my face, but thankfully it was only temporary. If you have oily, acne prone skin like mine.. Exfoliation should only be done maybe 1 or 2 times a week, otherwise your skin can break out, or your texture can get even worse. I really wanted to like this mask, but it is just a bit harsh for my skin, and i dont even have severe sensitive skin. The burn i felt was not normal, and i love a good tingle. Honestly, i wouldn't recommend this mask to anyone who is sensitive to exfoliation masks. This might work beautifully for a normal or dry skinned individual, but not for my skin type. I will still use masks from this brand, but will never use this mask again.
