Model in a Bottle Makeup Setting Spray
- "i really like this setting spray. for one thing it smells lovely. moreover i have oily skin and this setting spray helps keep the oil at bag for which i am eternally grateful. the only thing that’s not the best is that it stings for a nanosecond when you spray it on. other than that, i would definitely recommend you guys check it out" in 32 reviews
This was the literal devil in the bottle. I read reviews about this on amazon before buying and everyone said how bad it stung their face and eyes and I really just thought they were being dramatic and I dont have sensitive skin so I figured I would be fine. But let me tell you it came in and I sprayed it and ooooo did it burn. My EYES were watering it was so bad and I had to mentally prepare myself every time I used it because it was so bad but I didnt want to waste the product. The sting only lasted a few seconds but I swear that stuff was the root of my acne flare up and I would never buy again.
Review for: Original, Sensitive Skin Formula more...
This was one of the first setting sprays I added to my professional makeup kit. I like it, does a good job of holding makeup in place and gives a soft matte finish. I like that it comes in a sensitive skin formula as well as the original. I haven’t bought it in a while because it does have a strong scent but many of these product that guarantee long-wear do, so its not exclusive to this brand. It also feels a little sticky on the Skin. I prefer a less strong scent for everyday makeup clients that will also provide extra hold in addition to face prep and other makeup products used. But it’s definitely a good setting Spray!!
Your makeup will last until you take it off! I use this setting soray- the og- each time I wear makeup. It is VERY MATTYFING. You only need a cpl sprays. I like to concentrate my spray at my tzone. I then spray over it w/UD Allnighter.. Model in a Bottle has a VERY STRONG SCENT so you've been warned. I recommend this to: oily skin types, younger ppl, special occasions.. Too avoid a powdery look go over with a less harsh soray & they will meld. Great product. Well worth the price. I always put mine in another bottle; I just don't like the airless pump on this. I put mine in a Biolage hair mist bottle. 2 bottles of MIB fit in the biolage bottle with about 2" room left.
I would never have reached for Model in a Bottle if it hadn't been recommended to me because I hate the packaging and the name. However, this setting spray is fantastic. I wore it for the first time at my college graduation and my makeup looked perfect throughout all the photos! The spray bottle is not very good - it sprays large, uneven droplets so your options are to 1) smooth it out with a beauty blender or 2) pour it in another spray bottle. I personally like to pour mine into an empty Urban Decay spray bottle for a finer mist. I still had to give this spray 5 starts though because it's truly the most effective spray I've used.
I didn’t care for the smell but it works great! Keeps my makeup in place all day and very lightweight. Doesn’t feel like I have anything on. A con is definitely the smell, that’s really the only thing that would stop be from buying it again. But I’ll definitely keep using the one I have. It works like a charm!
More like literal hairspray in a bottle. I could honestly see this product being a holy grail for a makeup artist specializing in bridal looks, because your makeup could literally survive the apocalypse with this stuff, but it’s way too harsh for everyday wear and it dries the crap out of my skin. Not a horrible product by any means, just definitely a very targeted audience.
I bought this setting spray for my outdoor wedding coming up. Your makeup truly does stay all day! It's a little intense in smell, and make sure to keep your eyes closed tight for a few seconds after spraying it, but it is worth it. Your makeup will not budge with this stuff
My first ever setting spray! It will not let your makeup move, not even the slightest bit! This is literally hairspray for your face! Be sure not to use it too close, the scent is a bit strong which I don’t mind but if you’re sensitive to scent you can always use the sensitive skin formula which is just as great!
Wow! This stuff is absolutely amazing!!!! Especially for those who have oily skin. The pros of this are it sets your makeup and keeps your skin matte. The only bad thing, is that it smells like alcohol so if that bothers you i wouldn't recommend it. But to be honest, its not that bad. Also, idk where else they sell it but i get mine on Amazon and i belive its $15. So its not too pricey, but it is a bit more than the drugstore brands. I think it's definitely worth it though if you have oily skin like me.
I am a dry skin girl so when I put this on my face, it sucks me dry. Butttt it does work and I could see an oily skin person loving it. Regardless of it being really drying on me, it still sets makeup well & make sure to keep out of your eyes, the alcohol in this doesn’t play.
Q & A
I was wondering does this work well on dry skin? I want to make sure my makeup don't latch on to my dry patches. Thank you :)
How good is this setting spray compare to the mac and the urban decay setting spray?
I saw this on the Morphe cosmetics website and am curious if anyone has used it and how it compares to other brands you may have tried.
I have oily skin and I tried many even the Urban decay reg/oil control de slick but no good. Will this work?
Would this dry my skin out? I already have dry skin as it is, and I wouldn't want to make it worse.
