I should start by disclosing that I'm not using this for it's intended purpose. I just moved into a house with a beautiful kitchen that is sadly lacking a silverware drawer! I purchased this and it is the perfect decorative alternative, and holds a full (heavy!) service for 6, including steak knives. Since the top is mostly flat with a small lip, I can also use the top for storage and not lose any cabinet space. It's definitely durable enough for every day k cup use, and while it's more expensive, it's much prettier than the metal options.
