MILK MAKEUP Hero Salve
- "is very good is super moisturizing and more if you have dry skin, super recommended, and even super-moisturizing effect does not leave greasy, it absorbs well" in 3 reviews
- "This truly is a hero in a jar. No petroleum or wax, just pure natural oils like jojoba and grapeseed. This balm is perfect for any dry areas on your body, from lips to cuticles to elbows. The absolute tiniest amount goes A LONG way. This is the perfect product to relieve dry lips after a day of wearing your fav matte lippie. After removing the lippie and cleansing, exfoliate with a lip sugar scrub and put on a little of this and feel moisture come back to your lips in seconds. This has the added benefit of making your lippie application flawless the following day by giving you a smooth, plump surface to apply. Considering this is a lip treatment, cuticle treatment and dry skin treatment all in one its well worth the price. Don't be fooled by the tiny jar, even if used every day it will last forever! I’ve reviewed this product before, but it serves a special purpose as a gym staple. It does so much more then being a lip balm - I use it FOR EVERYTHING. What separates it from vaseline is its sheer sheen. It doesn’t have a thick texture and applies like butter. It not only moisturizes my lips, but it gives a glossy looks to my lids and lashes, so that takes away any add’l makeup in my bag. I just use an eyelash curler and slip a bit on the tips of my lashes so it gives a more natural look without extraness of mascara. The site does say it has a rose tint, but no - it’s very clear. It does has a slight scent to it, which makes it feel more luxurious. What other balm has jojoba oil, shea butter, grapeseed and lavender oil? If you’re allergic to any of those, I apologize. This stuff is amazing. I can’t imagine not having it in my bag. Definitely plan on restocking at Sephora.
I keep this in my kids diaper bag. Not only do I use it on my dry patches on my cheeks/ forehead & my lips, but I also use it on my sons cheeks and between his arm/leg rolls to keep his eczema under control. A little goes a long way and I love that it isn’t greasy and doesn’t have a scent at all. It’s been a magic little pot in my black hole of a bag. 🖤
I really like this it’s very hydrating and moisturizing on the skin and it smells nice and it refreshes your skin and the moisture really sinks in your skin and it makes your face look dewy and glowy and the packaging is very nice and luxurious I really like milk makeup in general highly recomend it’s very easy to apply and blend
OMG! I have oily skin so finding the perfect moisturizer is always a mission, but I proudly say that this is it! I love the minimalism of the packaging, it makes my skin feel so refreshed and nourished! I would definitely recommend to everybody!
This is a must have staple for the whole family. It’s great for cuticles, boo boos, rashes, dryness. If you can think of it then it will probably help it. It has a nice lavender scent and this small container lasts a long time.
I really like that this product doesn't have any of the gross chemical crap in it that a lot of similar products have, and it definitely works, but I don't really like the smell of it. I also don't really find myself reaching for it. I thought, when I bought it, that it was like a hand cream but it's more for when your hands crack in the winter or like using Vaseline as a lip balm, and this isn't the time of year for what I would be using Hero Salve for so I will update my review then. For now, I'm just not really finding a way to use it so far that I'm loving. I used to have a similar product that I would use when my heels would crack, and so I'm keeping it in my bag just in case I find a case where I'm like YES, I HAVE THAT NOW! Like when you wear flats and the back of your ankles get messed up? I don't know. For now, nothing special.
I love #milk products. my skin is sensitive and very dry. During my last trip to #Sephora a woman suggested that I try their line of highlighters, I bought and LOVE #MILK MAKEUP Highlighter Lit. I bought lip color too, moisrurizing spray and their #hero salve. I love their color pallet, the very subtle scent of their cosmetics and they don't irritate my skin. I think that their prices see also very reasonable when compared to other similar brands. MILK MAKEUP Hero Salve
I wanted to try this brand out so I pitched the Hero Salve during the winter to see how well it hydrated and moisturized my skin. I have moderately dry skin and chapped lips during December and January and I found that this product worked decent for my face (best on the cheeks) but did not work for my lips. It has an oily feel after application and can be u comfortable for people with combo skin.
Originally got it to try the "Glossy lid" look. Really could have use Aquaphor for cheaper, but this has Jojoba and Grapeseed oil which gives it a "luxury Vaseline" vibe. For the purpose that I needed, I could have went drugstore. But it's not a bad product. I picked up the travel size at Sephora (which came is a reusable ziplock package and some stickers!). I can see myself using it in the same way as a pack of Carmex - it's about the same size. But girl, Aquaphor and Vaseline does the same job.
This was an impulsive buy which I almost always fall a victim to in the Sephora check out line. Honestly, the packaging drew me in. It came in a clear bag with cool tattoos/stickers and was reasonably priced. I put this salve on my drier areas, which include my lips and cuticles. It has a light lavender smell which is nice and not overbearing. Although, I've used the product many times and it doesn't seem to absorb into my skin that well. I feel like vaseline helps moisturize those areas better.
