Review for: Light more...
I’m going to start off this review by saying I mostly have oily skin in my T-zone, other than that I don’t feel like my skin is too dry or too oily. The first time I applied this I applied this with an oval brush (which is my normal go to brush) and I used SmashBox Photo Finish primer. I was amazed with the FULL COVERAGE it had. When I went out and seen myself in the natural light and up close it looked patchy and the foundation seemed to cling to some of my drier skin. But if you were looking at me from a distance it looked really good and in pictures. It didn’t feel drying. The second time I applied this I used PoreFessional primer by Benefit and I used a beauty blender to apply. I squirted the foundation on the back of my hand and then applied it on my face. This seemed to help the patchiness. I did notice if I didn’t bake my T-zone the foundation would make me look greasy. So if I didn’t bake after applying I would use Too Faced Prime and Poreless Pressed Powder over my T-zone and that seemed to help a lot. I feel like you really have to try different techniques to see what works best for your skin type and when you find it this works amazing. I also think if you have a lot of dry skin this foundation will stick to the dry skin.

I heard a lot of great things about this foundation, and was disappointed it didn't work as well for me.  A little bit about my skin type: I am very oily and have texture, and I look for foundations that are medium to full coverage, matte, and long lasting.

Pros: I like that it comes in a pump, it is so much easier to apply.  The fragrance is nice, but that is something to consider if you are sensitive to smells.  The coverage is medium to full, and the consistency is a little thick if you like that in a foundation.

Cons: Milani's shade range is a little too yellow for my skin tone (I have neutral undertones), so I have to mix this foundation if I ever want to wear it.  When I wore this foundation alone, it settled into my pores and emphasized my texture.  My face also became oily after 4+ hours, so it is not as long lasting as I need my foundations to be.  Lastly, since it is a thick foundation, it can look cakey if you apply too much.

I will still continue to wear this foundation if I am running a few errands or mixing it in with other foundations that I like (Revlon Colorstay or Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte), but I won't be repurchasing.

A little background about me. I have normal skin. My skin tone is light and I am usually in the shade "light" in most foundations. My current favorite high end foundation is the Kat Von D lock it foundation and I am in light 45. I normally don't like to wear my high end foundations everyday since I'm in college and don't feel as though I need a full face everyday. I have heard many good things about this product and it is a full coverage, matte foundation like I prefer. So I decided to purchase to see if it could be my drugstore affordable option.

I bought this foundation in 02 Natural. This was too dark for me. I am now going to also have to buy the lighter shade to make a match for myself. As many people mentioned I think this foundation needs more color options. The smell is fine. The consistency reminds me of the Kat Von D foundation. I did compare the two and mix them and they are exactly the same. They have the same weight to them. After a few hours this foundation still looked good, maybe after 8 hours though it started to separate. Personally, that's not a huge deal breaker for me since that's a typical day. Overall, I love this foundation. I've been reaching for it all week! I'm excited that I finally tried this product. I just wish there were more shades and you could see the shades before purchase.

Picked up a new foundation at the drugstore for $10. That contains 30 ml of the product. Not bad! I struggle with picking out my foundation shades especially if the testers are not available.
👄First, I dotted the product around my face, then blend with a sponge and it did even out my skintone, but it settled on the dry patches around my chin area. It had a matte finish. I did not set it with a powder anymore since it was not sticky once fully dried. Not to mention it dried pretty quickly, and to a powdery finish. So when applying this type of foundation, it must be done quickly. The consistency was thicker as compared to the loreal true match foundation.

👄It had a meduim to full coverage but on me, my dark spots were still peeking through. The more I added product it would cake up. The foundation did oxidize on me. And yes, it settled on my under eye. I tried baking it, still after a few hours poof! fine lines appear!

blends well with a sponge for thicker coverage go for a foundation brush.

dries up to a matte powdery finish on me( I have oily to combination skin).

no need to set with powder.

sweatproof and long wearing.

medium to full coverage.

oil free.

cakes up.

settles in fine lines and dry patches.

Overall this is a great foundation base for scary makeups this #halloween 😱😰😳

I honestly feel that i am the only person that doesn’t like this foundation!! To me the foundation looked AWFUL on my skin, and I’m normally not one to leave such negative reviews but i was so so excited to try this out. I have other Milani products and love them, it’s just that this one did not work for me. The foundation settled into every single fine line, every single pore, and was extremely patchy in my dry spots. I tried multiple times with multiple primers, and nothing. I can see this working for some but not me. I have combination skin and My skin is normally very dry in the winter. Another thing was that the foundation seemed to have a fragrance, and it burned my skin for a good ten minutes after applying, so if you have sensitive skin, beware!!! I love the packaging of the product for a drugstore foundation under ten dollars, i just wish i loved the product!!!

When I was a teenager, Milani products is what I usually used. I have never tried the foundation until now. It was $9.87 plus tax and my local walmart. I used a primer on my face before using the foundation. I used a beauty blender and started patting on the product. After patting most of the product on, I saw that every time I patted, the makeup was not staying there on my face. So I changed it up and used a foundation brush. It worked a bit better. It was definitely not full coverage. I used a finishing spray and went about my day. During the day , I checked my makeup. First time, great...second time, not so great. Some parts of my foundation were on there and some you could see my normal skin. Very blotchy. By the time I got home...I was ready to take this makeup off. In my opinion this is a great "teenager starter" makeup foundation.

If you haven’t purchased this foundation you need to. I’m obsessed... it’s my go to for every day. If you love a FULL coverage foundation well here ya go! The coverage is there for sure. I got so many compliments the first time that I wore this. I hardly ever reach for my higher end brands unless I have a special occasion. I have it in every shade and this is what I use when I do freelance makeup. All of my clients are shocked when I tell them what I’m using because they expect something high end. You can’t beat the price. The packaging is very nice and lux feeling. I don’t have any transfer and the wear time is on point. It blends into the skin seamlessly and other products later over it nicely. Again this is one of those products I would definitely pay more for if I had to. Milani has such a good line but this is my favorite.

Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer should not be considered a drug store foundation. It lives up to if not more than a lot of the higher end brands.

First let me start out by discussing my skin type. I have oily skin in my T-zone area and suffer from extreme rosacea. Part of my makeup routine is concealing to counter act the redness. I noticed that it concealed my blemishes and redness pretty well. As soon as I pumped the product onto my hand I noticed the thick consistency & the sweet Shea butter like scent. Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer is available in a very wide range of 14 shades and comes housed in a glass pump bottle unlike some high end brands that cost 3 times the price of this product ($10 )

I love this foundation! I used Beauticontrol foundation for years until they went out of business. Then I had to find a new foundation. I was at a loss for where to start looking for a new foundation. After several recommendations from friends, I tried Revlon Colorstay. It's a great foundation, but it's got medium coverage and I was looking for more of a full coverage foundation. After watching several videos on YouTube I came across the suggestion to try Milani's foundation and I'm so glad I did. I love it! It's the best foundation from the drugstore and it has amazing coverage, especially for it's affordable price. I apply this foundation with a makeup brush. I highly recommend this foundation!

I wanted to like this, but sadly I ended up returning it. It was just weird. I tried it with different primers and mixing it with other foundations. It didn't look pretty on my skin. It looked rather cakey and felt kinda sticky. It didn't feel uncomfortable on my skin but felt sticky to the touch. Also creased around my eyes and I felt like concealer didn't sit good on top of it. It looked alright from a distance but I was not happy with it up close at all and felt self concious about looking makeupy around my boyfriend. It looked the same at the end of the day as when I put it on, but that's not a good thing really because it didn't look good to begin with. It made my fine lines stand out. I tried it with a light thin layer and also with a normal application and also 2 light layers. I've tried a lot of different foundations and was really disappointed in this one because I really wanted to love it. I have normal/combination skin. Revlon colorstay and revlon colorstay whipped are still my fav go to foundations! Hope this helps.
