Microsoft Mass Effect DSV
It is a great series. Its a unique game that has a category all on its own. The mass effect series is on of the best series out there.
The first Mass effect in it's series. It really made a huge open science fiction world to explore in a game with such a high amount of planets to explore, you're bound to miss some. This game really means open world, or, worlds. Also freedom. You always play as Commander Shepard, but you can create the character who is Shepard. not only by Customization but you can mold his personality throughout the game. Choose your actions, choose what to say, and find a love interest. You can choose who dies and who lives. This game really sucks you into the lives under your command. You get attached. This all makes for a great game. The 3'rd person over the shooter is fun to play. the gameplay of giving orders, and using your abilities all come together smoothly in the series. I'd say the same for the cover system however that was introduced in Mass effect 2. The first Mass effect was good when it came out, still is, but after you play 2 and 3 you'll see a huge improvement. There are always improvements to sequels. The next installments perfect the mechanics. The game has great dialogue and characters. You explore and select your team. Level up and all. What is not to love? You can even go to a bar full of aliens. The species is big. With one of the well known species the Asari. You get a variety for your team of two members. You recruit them and choose. You can play through the game more than once, I have 3 times per game. It always turns out different, choose to be renegade or paragon, you can do both, once per play though. Will you save or kill? You decide. It is a huge amount of fun. With this already a great game, I was even more happy for 2 and 3.
Game series that run/ruin your life: dragon age. Mass effect. It so great because you get so into the story and so attached to the characters!
The first game of my favorite game series of all time. Bioware games make you feel like you're really part of the game, not just the pawn needed to tell the story. Definitely worth playing if you have any interest in deep stories, developed and immersive game universes, shooters, sci-fi, or games with multiple possible outcomes.
My fiancé really loves this game. Played it religiously until he finished it. Now it just sits there.
