I love my single cup brewer from Melitta. I actually have 2 of these. One for at home, and one for working on the road or camping. Before settling on this one, I tried multiple other designs that didn't work out. Be it the constant plugging, bulkiness, or weight (ceramic ones add quite a bit of weight in a pack for a multi day camp, and they're quite breakable) i just wasn't satisfied. Once I started using this one and the Melitta filters, I knew I had a simple, winning combo. It tucks away nice into the cupboard, it's easy to clean, I'm not wasting a bunch of grounds, the taste is better, it's light in weight, and fits most cups. One downfall is that it doesn't fit all sizes of cups. The old contigo travel cups, for example, have the exact same size of diameter as the inner ring, so you either have to hope it balances perfect on top, or place two popsicle sticks or something similar on top of the cup to make a more suitable platform. After many a mess while going for the balancing act technique and failing, I recommend popsicle sticks. Easy fix, but considering the popularity of those cups, it should have been a consideration in the design lab. All in all , a great device that I will probably always own while I'm on this side of the dirt.
