Review for: Rooftop Bronzes 400 more...
Upon receiving the rooftop bronzes pallet the first thing I noticed was how beautiful the neutral colors were. Out of all of the combinations, this is the one I felt I'd get the most daily use out of. I really liked the compact size of the pallet because I do a fair amount of travel. The colors all swatches beautifully without a primer. I did feel upon actual use on my eyelid that in order to get a good payoff on all of true colors that an eyeshadow primer is definitely needed. The only downfall of the rooftop bronzes color selection is that there are absolutely no matte shades, not even one. I feel I would have given it 5 stars had there been one if not two matte shades. You really can't find anther pallets at the $10 price point let alone drugstore that could begin to compare. I highly recommend this for anyone on a budget or just starting out with makeup.

Love the colors of this palette. Great neutral tones. The eyeshadows are silky smooth which makes for good application. Perfect to travel with also and fit right in your purse.

Review for: Girls Night Glimmer 470 more...
My look I created with my Maybelline City Mini Palette in 470 Girls Night Glimmer. I received this product free from Influenster and this is my honest review .

I like the look I came up with! I really liked the two blues in this palette and wanted to use those. I tried to create a halo with the darker blue in the middle. It looked nice, but when I wet the brush it really made the blue pop! I used a black base from another palette. The bottom right shadow is listed as the liner on the back of the palette and I used it on the lid, but since I used the black base...it's hard to see. .

I mentioned before that these are full of glitter, and they are! Even the matte nude shade has some glitter in it. That being said...these shadows are so creamy and so pigmented. Maybelline has really stepped up their game with these shadows and I was impressed with them. .

Thank you @maybelline and @influenster for my chance to review this palette . Maybelline The City Mini Palette

Review for: Downtown Sunrise 430 more...
The palette is cute and definitely portable. It's perfect size for someone that's in a rush and on the go, fits perfectly in a purse. The colors are alright, for the price point, they are worth the money. But I don't think I would personally go out of my way to buy this. I received this palette for free to review and got the "Downtown Sunrise" color theme. It says they're "edgy yet sultry hues", but I don't see that with the pink theme. The pigmentation is decent, the colors blend easily, my main complaint is that these aren't very lasting, even with an eyeshadow primer. I worked a 5 hour shift as a cashier and had primer on one eye and the other with out, by break time the lid without primer was gone and smudged, about an hour after that, the other eye with primer was just a smudged mess.

I'll admit that I wanted one of the other palettes from the city minis line because I don't wear blue that often, but you know, beggars/choosers and all that. I ended up liking this pallets a LOT. The formula is very silky and loose, it practically hops on the brush itself. Each shade was very easy to work with and I loved that the blue pans complimented my undertone- usually blue doesn't look that great on me but these shades were perfectly paired, it seems. I still had to use primer but that's seriously not big deal- you should always use primer under eyeshadow as a darker toned person of color because even the most pigmented pots can perform poorly without it. Ive done three looks with it so far but I want to add some more sparkly looks to my portfolio in the future.

TIP: spray your "C" brush with setting spray before packing the sparkling pans to you lid, it gives them that extra pop!

Review for: Matte About Town 480 more...
I received this the city mini palette as a voxbox. I swatched the colors and the darkest shade was the only one that i found to be very pigmented. They felt silky to the touch but when I put a brush in them a lot of product got onto the brush so i had to blow most of it off, which wasted product. The colors are very neutral and would go with just about any look which is a plus. The packaging is great for on the go because it's so compact which is also great. I'd recommend this palette to someone just starting out with makeup, someone who needs a compact on-the-go palette, or someone who does very little with their make up. I wasn't blown away by this and wouldn't buy it but I could see myself using it again.

There's a great overall collection of colors with this palette you get everything from your lid crease brow and base colors so just a start off it's a great assortment palette the palette I receive is kind of for more fun occasions it's not an everyday type thing so it's not something I would wear all the time but it's definitely something to have fun with. I like that the different colors had different bases there was a clear base a lighter base and then a darker base color, the colors were pretty shimmery and had Fallout that was the only downside to these I've had no it's not so bad because the Fallout is just glittery shimmery so if you are having a girls night out would be nice I guess. The colors are pretty pigmented I'd say there about 80%staying power of what they say they are without have using an eye primer base. I did receive this Palette for free from Influenster for review. The colors also got a tad bit muddy when using them all as suggested, with using all shimmer for each section of the eye, but it wasn't bad! Overall, this a fun palette with shimmery and creamy applying shadows! Maybelline The City Mini Palette

Review for: Matte About Town 480 more...
The maybelline palette was average. It's definitely a powdery shadow kit, with the exception of the liner creamy shade. The shadows go on better with your fingers than brushes. They're blendable and can go from light to darker depending on how many layer you put on. The creamy liner part didn't work as well of you want it as your sole liner, but will be OK if you use a different liner and use this as a darker shadow around the liner, to create the smokey look. Well this is not my favorite item, I do appreciate the mini size and the fact it comes in so many different palette colors/looks. (the palette I received was the Matte About Town)
Edit: The shadow lasted me most of the day, my eye makeup still looked good after I got home! I was very pleasantly surprised!

Review for: Concrete Runaway 440 more...
I received this product for free through Influenster. In exchange I evaluated and reviewed the product. My review is my honest, my own, and in no way influenced by this arrangement.

I am very impressed with this eyeshadow palette. As with most drugstore make-up, the color pay-off is not as rich as the colors in the pan may lead you to believe. However, I suspect that a bit of eyeshadow primer (and layering) could solve that (I swatched dry and sans primer, using only my finger).

Personally, I think that the color payoff is sufficient and particularly appropriate for a daytime look that incorporates fun/bold/on-trend colors.

One thing that this palette does not skimp on is SPARKLE. While the sparkle may start to veer towards a bit much for some of the women in my age bracket (mid-30s), keep in mind that Maybelline really went for overall quality with this palette. The sparkle is microfine, and every swipe of shadow picks up - and subsequently deposits it - exactly where you want it.

The tl;dr: A high quality palette, full of (classy) shimmer and sparkle. Definitely worth trying out, if not placing in your make-up rotation.
