Let me start by saying that I received my very first Mason Pearson brush when I was around 10 years old. I've always had long hair so I mom bought this for me in order to manage my long locks. This first brush lasted me a whopping 17 YEARS!!! Some of the bristles eventually started falling out, mainly due to using the brush with the high heat of a hair dryer. I still have this first brush and usually bring it with me on trips and vacations, in fear that I'd lose my new replacement Mason Pearson. The second one I purchased has so far lasted 3 years, with no signs of any wear and tear and is still as good as new. WORTH THE HEFTY PRICE, I promise! in 20 years I've only had these two brushes and my hair looks and feels fabulous. Every hair dresser I've ever had also recommends this brush and they're always surprised when I tell them how long I've been using these. I ended up buying a mini MP for my boyfriend a couple years ago and now he's hooked. It feels amazing on the scalp and the best part about it is that it moves the oil near your scalp and evenly distributes it throughout your hair, keeping your hair shiny and your scalp oil-free.

AHHHHHMAZING! I have the mini brush that was handed down to me from my grandmother and 70 years later it still works and smooths out my hair. I LOVE THIS BRUSH! I don’t think m I’d probably buy it with my own money because it’s so expensive, but on the other hand it’s extremely worth it!

I was always so skeptical of overpriced hairbrushes, it just detangles your hair right? After years of thin and dry hair because of internal health issues, and then a year of split ends from color treatments, I decided to give this a shot.
OMG this is not just a hairbrush, it’s a scalp+hair oils redistributing tool. Plus the bristles massage your scalp for relaxation and stimulation. Using this brush (for my hair) is equivalent to 2 sprays of dry shampoo. I was using BB Prêt-a-powder, but needed it significantly less after starting to use this brush. My split ends are basically nonexistent now—the brush was the only thing I did differently!

I received this a few years ago as a gift. I had always wanted one, and I’m not disappointed! This is a fantastic brush! The only suggestion I have is to keep your brush for many years take care of it and don’t use it with high heat hair dryers! (I don’t, I just can’t imagine it would go well for the brush!)

This brush is probably the best brush you could ever own. With the nylon bristles it makes your hair is easy to brush because your locks just slide off of them. It is very nice to also matt your hair down for certain hair styles. I would highly recommend buying this cause it is worth the money.

There are tons of reviews out there comparing Mason Pearson brushes to cheaper alternatives and articles suggesting dupes, but in my experience, nothing out there matches the real deal. I contemplated buying one for a long time before I purchased it and I’m so glad I finally did. At $200, it cost less than one salon visit and I’ll have it waaaayyy longer than the 8 weeks that my color lasts. For me, totally worth it.

Worth all the hype! I've been wanting this brush for years but was initially resistant to it's price tag. It's truly worth every penny - feels soft on scalp, significantly less hair pulled out and evenly distributes oils for healthier/shiner hair. I even read somewhere that you can pass these brushes down to the next generation. I hope this is my last brush purchase ever!!

An iconic hairbrush that has a cult following with professional hairstylists. While most people would never consider spending $100 on a hairbrush, stylist know just how valuable this tool is to their craft and don’t think twice!

OMG this brush is amazing. All the hype around it is so true. I've had mine for over ten years and it looks and feels like new. I have long straights fine hair and this brush is gentle enough and does the job done every time. I own these brushes in regular and travel size as to never be without it.

Had a coupon so I bought this holy grail brush that everyone raves on and on about. It doesn’t do much in the untangling department but it does make my hair look really silky and smooth. Great brush for ponytails

Why are these so expensive? Do they actually make a difference or is it just a status symbol?
