Ramen noodles are great for families on a budget. Leave the water in and you have a large bowl of filling soup for around twenty cents, drain the water and you have flavored noodles. Pair two packs with mixed stir fry veggies and some cut up chicken or beef and you have a meal for four that costs a little over a dollar per person. There is a good ramen noodle recipe book on Amazon: The Book of Ramen : Lowcost Gourmet Meals Using Instant Ramen Noodles but I have found that most of my best ramen noodle recipes are ones I created making mock ups of favorite foods like beef stroganoff, lo mein, tuna noodle casserole, etc.
Love these! They are so good & I grew up obsessed with them. Nothing really compares to them! They taste so good! They have a good variety of flavors and some new flavors too! I tried the tortilla flavor and the chili flavor (new ones) the tortilla one is very gross but the chili one is pretty decent! My favorite flavor is the CREAMY chicken one and I can only find that one at Walmart. They are usually 20 cents each and very affordable and good to eat cooked or raw or add other things in them if preferred
I grew up on ramen & so did my fiance. He still eats them often to this day.. I do too but not all the time. He is always making the tastiest concoctions with Chicken Ramen & Hot Chili .. he will add cheese, corn, potatos, pepperoni, chips, cheese puffs... anything really.. he throws it all together in a bowl with about 6 packs of ramen and makes a big portion of what he calls "gumbo" lol (yes, he went to jail.) But Ramen will forever get 5 stars from me.. cause there is nothing better sometimes
These are so bad for you but so good...like potato chips, you just can't stop LOL well...maybe not like chips because after one pack I'm full, but you get it LOL - These are such a typical college favorite and chicken is my favorite flavor, but these do not have to be eaten as they come; you can make your Ramen into anything you want and you can add flavors to it and make it your own. It's very quick and easy and versatile if you're creative and don't have a picky palette.
I always keep Ramen Noodle soup in my house. My boy likes the chicken kind, & I like the shrimp ones. They are very quick to make, only 4 1/2 minutes in the microwave. They are not that good for you but what is anymore. I am disabled so I don't really cook much so I keep these noodles around so my boy can make them his self but he usually asks me to make them. He says I make them better. I will recommend them for a quick bite to eat. I will rate them a 4 out of 5 stars.

There are a vary of flavors that are tasty and filling, and you can opt out of using the flavor packet to season with your own spices, add ingredients like an egg or green onions for a healthier option.
These are pretty nostalgic for me when i wanted something quick and easy to make this was my go to meal of choice. I'm Hispanic and love spicy food my sister suggested I add Valentina hot sauce and it just add flavor. I know it's not the healthiest meal and it does have a high sodium content but honestly how often do you really want to eat Ramen. I don't see a issue as long as you have it in moderation.
Long before I was a college student I loved these! Growing up they would always be stocked at my grandparents house. They have a great flavor (even if they are not the healthiest for you, which always seems to be the case for anything that tastes good). They are cheap and easy to make. I have a certain sodium flavor I expect when I eat/drink soup and with this I don't have to add extra salt.
I eat this twice a day sometimes because on my budget this is often the most affordable meal available. I've learned to love it and it's honestly so versatile. I've added meat or cheese whenever I have some left over and it adds something new to the taste so the ramen doesn't get too redundant. Yeah it's not the most glam or refined meal but it fills me up and doesn't taste bad at all
Maruchan is one of the best instant ramens out there. they make a quick meal for my family. they are good to have on hand as part of a survival kit too....last time we purchased these was because of a planned blackout by our electric company. we had also ordered a very large thermos to use for that day so there was hot water for the ramen and hot drinks.

Are the broth powder packets any good for you? Either way I'll still eat them, their inexpensive quick and easy and Chicken flavor is my favorite.
