I had one for my rabbit Luna while she was small and she seemed to love it.

I had one for my rats as well and they loved it they liked being able to hide under the other level

I had one of these for my pet rats. I prefer cages with airflow for them as they are prone to respiratory problems. As long as your rats are adult size they can not get out of this but you must make sure their head can not get through the bars. Rats love are social animals and want to know what's going on around them so this makes a great cage for them!
