Product Description

The House of Night series is set in a world very much like our own, except in 16-year-old Zoey Redbird's world, vampyres have always existed. In this first book in the series, Zoey enters the House of Night, a school where, after having undergone the Change, she will train to become an adult vampire-that is, if she makes it through the Change. Not all of those who are chosen do. It's tough to begin a new life, away from her parents and friends, and on top of that, Zoey finds she is no average fledgling. She has been Marked as special by the vampyre Goddess, Nyx. But she is not the only fledgling at the House of Night with special powers. When she discovers that the leader of the Dark Daughters, the school's most elite club, is misusing her Goddess-given gifts, Zoey must look deep within herself for the courage to embrace her destiny-with a little help from her new vampyre friends. see more...

I recommend these books for teens, by adults might also like it. It's written as if a teen was writing it, so if you don't mind that then this is for you. I'm 22 and I like parts of the book, but there are part where I find that it's unnecessary. Basically, the book is about a teen who was marked to be a vampire and has to go to this school in order to heal and learn about being one. The author then adds the normal high school drama that would normally occur and Zoey, the main character, is special because she has special powers and special marks that the others don't have. It's interesting, but again, it is written as if a teen were writing it.
This book introduced me to my favorite type of book to read. It has the perfect amount of action, adventure, drama, romance, and plot twists which makes the book and the series very fun and hard to put down. I can not stop reading and its great that there are 12 books in the series I don't want it to end! The only way to make these books better are to make them into a television show.

Loving this book series! !! Completely sucked in already! I've read all the way up to book 7 but put it down for a while because of college classes. But I've recently started back over again with book 1. Automatically sucked back into it all over again

This whole series is incredible!! I think it completely blows twilight out of the water. It's a different take on the whole "vampire" store but it's so captivating and such an easy read. Love this book

I live in Tulsa so it's fun reading the story with a familiar setting. I got hooked on the series almost instantly. You can relate with the main character because she seems like so many of us...
