  • "I received this product and like the simple clean packaging. Just a little black and white box with beautifully simple design. The actual product is a beautiful smooth black plastic with a large graphic circle that is the color of the product. I love that you don’t need to open it so you can see the color of the product. The lip snaps into place so you don’t have to worry about it getting everything in your purse coated with it. It also has a twist bottom to expose more product, love this because most crayons/chunky pencils use a sharpener and I can never find mine when I need it. My shade is send nudes and it’s a deeper color than I would of thought. It comes shapes to a soft point(almost equal with most lipstick) but I would like it a bit more pointed so that I can have more definition with it. Applied like a dream, super creamy and buttery. Loads of color payout, definitely not anywhere near shear. It’s a deep nude with purple undertones and a gold metallic shimmer. It’s definitely a satiny matte but doesn’t feel as drying as most matte lips. The smell is nice and pleasant without being too overwhelming. I’ve got a weird thing about scents and this one is pleasant and doesn’t give me a headache. I blotted when I applied it and then put it to the test, it lasted through a nap hours of talking and a milkshake. Ate tacos for dinner and some transferring (rubbed off and I ate it lol). It’s still looking good ate 7 at night and I’m sure I’ve got plenty of time left. I don’t feel dry, actually it’s not too noticeable at all. I’d definitely recommend it and I’m looking into purchasing other colors. I received this product complimentary for review purposes." in 21 reviews

Review for: Merlot Blow more...
I adore these lipsticks. This is easily one of my favorite, if not my favorite, formulas. The formula is thick and smooth and creamy. It's not overly soft so it never gets too slippy, but it's also never dry. It does not last 10 hours but it does last a long time. With a lip liner it lasts through a meal for me and most of a day. The packaging is a magnetic closure and quite heavy. The only downside of the packaging is it's slightly oblong in the diameter so it does not fit in the lipstick organizers with the square holes.
I have tried this in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (like everyone else on the planet), So Rouge (the VIB Rouge gift a couple years ago), Dashing, Infamous, and I have Slow Burn and Je T'Aime coming so I'll update once I've tried those. KKBB is a medium pink berry that I makes for a brighter, darker every day color. It's not so bright you can't pull it off but it's clearly lipstick and clearly not your lips. I really like it a lot. Infamous is like the softer, less berry little sister. Infamous is great casual day, throw it on with no make up and brightens my face color. It's got a hint of brightness to it that wakes up my face. I purchased this one specifically to act as an every day color. Dashing is a slightly berry leaning medium to dark red. I don't wear much red, but I love this red so much. It's a happy red. It looks almost velvety when I apply it and it lasts forever on the lips. So Rouge is very close to Dashing, it's the same depth of color, more glossy, and slightly red brown compared to Dashing's berry tone. I actually picked up Dashing looking for a dupe for So Rouge as you cannot buy it full sized. I really wish they would release So Rouge because it's beautiful slightly dark neutral red. It's the red lipstick that convinced me I could actually pull off reds. Slow Burn came in a Sephora perk and I have tried it on once so I can really only comment on the color. It's a muted beige pink. It reminds me of Bobbi Brown Bare Pink or MAC Mmmmmm. Sort of Kylie Jenner. Less pink the MAC Faux, more pink and less grey than MAC Blankety. It's a really lovely lighter nude. Je T'Aime is one I ordered and don't have yet but I tried it on in the store. It's a muted red, which means it's brighter but not full red. I've been looking for a color like this for a long time. Something fun and bright, but easy to wear and casual. I'm super excited for this one.
For reference, some of my other favorite lipstick formulas are MAC Amplified crèmes and NARS Audacious lipsticks. I like MUFE a lot as well. I will say this line is very pink and red and berry. There are very few nude and peachy lipsticks, there are some browns. But lipsticks like MAC kind a sexy, MAC shy girl, and NARS Bridgette are my HG's and there is nothing in this line even in the same universe as those shades. I love this formula so I hunted for shades that would work for me. It's was actually good for me because it got me to try things I don't normally wear but I love them all. And if you need a red lipstick, this line will definitely have one for you as it carries every variation of red you can think of.

Review for: How Rouge! more...
These are amazing! I only hope they will come out with more colors - there need to be a ton more nudes, reds, and vampy colors.

They truly are as described, a liquid lip crayon. The color is extremely pigmented. I would recommend applying to the inner portion of the lips and then taking your time with the outer portion or using a brush to apply the outer edge for the deeper colors or put the crayon in the freezer a couple minutes prior to application. In California where I live the crayons are so pigmented they practically melt onto the lips and one stroke equals full color payoff.

Each shade has at least a slight pearl to them. How Rouge is a gorgeous orange-red. It is show-stopping. I am constantly complimented when I wear this shade. The formula is so comfortable it feels like you're wearing nothing but your lips feel moisturized. They take probably 30 minutes to set down, but once they're set down they don't really budge - but they're not wear-like-iron. If you rub back-and-forth, they will smudge. You just don't have to worry about normal wear - I get all day wear with this. They don't bunch up are crack - you can reapply easily over product.

The cap clicks into place, so it won't come off in your bag. The product twists up, and twists back down.

I can't believe people aren't talking about these more. They're absolutely luxurious and wonderful.

Review for: Send Nudes, How Rouge! more...
Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip CrayonI received the @MarcJacobs LeMarc Liquid Lip Crayon as part of my first Vox Box. The packaging was nice but it was difficult to open the box to get the product out of. The product itself was very easy to use. It has a very creamy formula with a sharp crayon mold. This allows for precise application to the lip. I received the colors How Rouge! And Send Nudes. I wasn’t sure about either color but they looked beautiful on! I don’t typically wear reds but the How Rouge looks great on my fair/medium skin tone. The Send Nudes isn’t really nude on my skin tone, it is more of a mauve/plum but I loved it. They have a opal/pearl sheen to the color which is a nice twist to a creamy/velvet formula. I would say this product is long lasting, however throughout the day, the color did cling to dry areas of my lips and looked like it was crumbling. At least one additional application would have helped the color stay vibrant through the day. The major negative so saw was that my How Rouge color came broken. The entire product was in the lid when I received it (which I was very bummed about) and so I had to use a lip liner brush to apply it. This was not as easy an application had I been able to use the full crayon itself. Applying the How Rouge was more tricky than the Send Nudes color. Overall, I’m happy with the #LeMarc liquid lip crayon. I would try other colors and recommend to my friends looking for a long lasting formula.

Review for: Send Nudes more...
Send bae nudes wearing Marc Jacobs Beauty Liquid Lipstick Crayon in Send Nudes. Marc Jacobs is a liquid lipstick in a lip pencil format. The product has a retractable tip giving easier control on applying the lipstick. Use the lipstick crayon as a lip pencil for a precise application everytime. The lip stick goes on creamy and dries semi-matte.

It will last for about 4-6 hours before it starts to feather. Keep in mind this is with no food and drinks (unless drinking with a straw). The product will come off when eating anything containing oil.

On my skin tone, the product look cooler pink than warm nude. I did use a lip pencil to line my lips, but it is not necessary with this product. As always, exfoliate and moisturize your lips prior to applying the product.

Review for: Send Nudes, Night Mauves more...
I was sent two colors of the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Crayon (Night Mauves & Send Nudes) from Influenster to try and I was so excited to try them out! First off, the formula on these are AMAZING. They seriously glide on like a dream and feels so creamy on the lips. I always have trouble with lip crayons being too drying on the lips but these kept my lips looking soft and they didn’t cling to the dry spots on my lip as much as other formulas. I didn’t find that these had super great lasting power however. Lippies never last that long on me anyways but I found this fading and patchy in about 4 hours. It does last a little longer on me with lip liner but not significantly. The other thing was that I wasn’t too crazy fond of the shimmery sheen in the lipstick. I always tend to go for matte or satin finishes so these colors were a little more pearlescent than what I would normally go for.

Review for: Send Nudes, Night Mauves more...
I received two neutral shades of Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon, the lighter Night Mauves which is a MLBB shade on me, and the deeper mauve Send Nudes. The Marc Jacobs Le Marc liquid lip crayon is such an innovative formula: super lightweight but very creamy. It glides on. I learned not to press too hard when applying because the tip broke off plus there's no need to. I love that I don't need a sharpener, just twist it up. The only slight downside is that after the tip wears away, there's no way to get it back and using a lip pencil first helps to get a more defined lip. The matte lipstick is not too drying on my desert-dry lips. I recommend exfoliating first if you have dry lips like me, and then apply a little lip balm first. The color is long-lasting, and I often forget I have it on because it feels like I'm wearing nothing. The snap-shut top is terrific too. I like Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon a lot, and I want to buy one of the red shades next. I received this product complimentary for review purposes. Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crayon

Review for: Send Nudes, How Rouge! more...
I cannot even begin I express my love for How Rouge! I have received so many compliments on this vibrant red lipstick. I was actually most excited about trying on Send Nudes but was pleasantly surprised that I ended up loving How Rouge! So much more and this is from someone who never wears ref lipstick!! I was told that Send Nudes looked beautiful on me as well but I thought it was a bit of a strange brown metallic shade. Anyways, I would definitely buy How Rouge again because honestly this red is super flattering and I've never seen one as nice and shiny as this. I never thought I would be able to pull off a red shade and this one completely changed my mind about it. The packaging is super sleek, nice, and portable. It is easy to apply as it glides on my lips and I can put it on easily without lip liner. The only downside is that the crayon itself is so soft that it can easily break (mine hasn't broken yet after multiple wears but I can definitely see it happening) and can possibly be messy.

I received these items complimentary from Influenster and Marc Jacobs to review but all of these opinions are my own.

Review for: Night Mauves, Flaming-oh! more...
This was the first Marc Jacobs lip product that I had tried. I find that the pigmentation and formula is on par with my HG Tom Ford lip products. Flaming-Oh! was a pleasant surprise for me. It is a vibrant rosy pink hue that instantly brightens the complexion. I usually am a lover of nudes or reds, so this shade was out of my comfort range. I feel totally feel comfortable wearing this shade for day time or an evening out. Night Mauves ended up being a darker nude than I thought it would be and I actually prefer to add this shade on top of Flaming-Oh! to make the perfect evening out lip color. The formula is perfection: not too emollient, not too creamy, not too shiny, etc. It glides on like a dream and stays put for hours of vibrant, opaque color wear. I do occasionally apply a lip balm or clear lipgloss when my lips need added moisture but I find that this lip color stays put a lot longer than how often I re-moisturize them. And since this liquid lipstick comes in a lip crayon form, it doubles as a lipstick and lip liner in one product. Which I find quite genius and it’s a lot easier to put one lip product in my purse. Feel free to let me know about other shades you have tried in this line and consider makeup must haves. Everyone needs at least one or two of these in their lipstick arsenal.

Review for: Send Nudes, Flaming-oh! more...
I received this product and wasn't disappointed. It is a thicker crayon style but isn't too thick to where it is uncomfortable to hold. The packaging is pretty basic but looks high nice and sleek with the black and the white font. I received two of these, one in the color send nudes and the other flaming-oh! The flaming-oh isn't my style, it is a very bright pink color. So I will probably be gifting that one. The send nudes is a beautiful darker nude, almost in the maroon family. The product itself is super creamy, but it dries down pretty quickly and looks matte. The product does not move once it is dry! I was very surprised. I felt like it was super creamy and would probably have bad transfer but it does not! My only complaint is that the cap shoved down when it was in my bag so it smooched some of the product up into the cap and obviously the point is a little more flat now. But, I wear this almost daily and I feel like the formula is so wearable and functional that I would definitely recommend. 4 stars because of the cap and the price point is a little high for one lippie but it is Marc Jacobs and if you are looking for something with a good formula, give this a go!
