Review for: SMATORIAL more...
I’ve wanted this palette ever since it launched and I finally bought it in the last Sephora sale. I was so impressed by this formula! I can see myself using the neutrals in this palette all the time. This formula has become my favorite and I need to get more of these palettes. I was really drawn to this palette by the bright cobalt shade, which isn’t very common in eyeshadow lines. Unfortunately, I found out after wearing the blues a few times that I’m sensitive to Ultramarine, a bright blue pigment used in the shades Power Platforms (bright cobalt) and Make Sure (teal). My eyes end up tender and feeling heavy after a day of wear. I can wear them on occasion but unfortunately I can’t wear them very often. I considered returning the palette to Sephora (I have only done that once before because I hate to be wasteful), but I loved the other 5 shades in this palette so much I didn’t want to lose them. The shades are super pigmented and blend so easily! The metallics even look wet when you apply them dry. I found out that the cobalt blue shade in the Marc Jacobs eyeliners doesn’t use ultramarine, so I wish they could have used those pigments in this palette because I’m know I’m not the only one sensitive to ultramarine (if sulfates bother you, ultramarine on the eyes probably will too). Overall, I love this palette soooooooo much and I highly recommend this line. I hope Marc Jacobs expands the shade ranges of the palettes in the future! I’d love to see a rich jewel tones palette for the holidays.

If you are after heavily pigmented shadows, look away. You are better off heading in the direction of Urban Decay or Inglot instead.

However, if you are looking for beautifully blendable eyeshadows with medium-to-heavy but not over the top neutral eyeshadows, this may just be the one for you.

I'm no professional makeup artist, and I still struggle to blend eyeshadow and even apply the correct colours wherever they need to be, but I never have any trouble when using this palette as I'm never at risk of over-applying, unlike when dealing with heavily pigmented eyeshadows.

I do quite like the middle shade - the one with lots of glitter. What I do is dab it onto my eyelids with my finger - there's less fallout this way, and great to give your eyes a little more bling for evenings out.

Review for: Edgitorial more...
The Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow in Edgitorial came as a gift for reviewing purposes from Influenster. In the past I'd only briefly tested a few of the Marc Jacobs Shadows (and misc. products) so I was delighted to get the chance to spend a bit more time with this particular product.
The eyeshadow consistency is silky smooth , and goes on almost effortlessly. The pigmentation of each color is more amazing than I expected especially being of a deeper skin complexion. Often times I find with most shadows I have to use a lighter base in order for them to appear vibrant , but w/ this palette that wasn't true. I was able to sweep on a few colors w/o them coming off muddy and they blended so gracefully.
The palette comes in various shade ranges and whom ever put these palettes together definitely took their time. The six shades go together perfectly and you don't have to use multiple palettes or shadows from elsewhere to go with them because they all coordinate together. I also like the sleek, slip line case which makes it easy to use, and take w/ you on the go.
The only thing it's missing is a brush inside, but the palette is top of the line gorgeous.

Review for: Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.7 - Plush Shadow The Lolita 206 more...
Lolita is a lovely Marc Jacobs palette. I enjoy how complete these palettes are- I never have to reach for anything else to complete a look. I took off a star because I do think my current MJ palettes (Glambition and Provocouture) are better than this older one— MJ really upped their game with their revamped formula. However, this older one shares many of the things I like about the current ones- good balance of mattes to shimmers being one. Mattes included are cream, midtone brown, and dark brown. Shimmers: pale pink (more satin, a bit stiff), and two similar midtone shimmery browns. There’s also a glitter, the only real miss. The mattes are a bit dusty but blend well. You can get work appropriate looks or more smoky looks from this, but mostly I reach for it for natural looks if I’m in a rush.

Review for: Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette - Coconut Fantasy Collection Fantascene more...
I bought it solely for the packaging which is so stunning, sleek and just aesthetic! I have a soft spots for white packaging so when I saw this, I knew it has to be in my collection. Quality-wise, this palette is not as good as the other black ones. Shadow pigmentation is not there, blend ability is average. There is only one shade that stands out which is the coppery shade named Meet Ya. I can wear that shade alone all over the lid and blend it in on the crease. I knew I bought it not the the product itself so I cannot blame Marc Jacobs lol but I would not recommend this cuz it’s not worth it!

As soon as I saw this I HAD to have it! I had nothing like it in my collection as far as shades go and I LOVE the  Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette in Scandalust.  The shades in here are very pigmented and beautiful for spring and summer and the packaging itself is gorgeous!

That being said, this palette is a little difficult to work with in comparison to other palettes and even other Marc Jacobs palettes. I find the pink shimmer shade and copper shade to be difficult to work with. You need to use a wet brush or your finger to get the color pay off. Because the shades are so close, it will be difficult to not get very similar looks every time you use this. So, if you have other items like this in your collection, I would say you probably don't need this palette. But, if you don't, it is beautiful and great to have around to use in combination with other palettes!

Review for: Glambition, Edgitorial more...
These are my absolute favorite eyeshadow palettes. Though it is a bit pricey for only 7 shadows per pan, I'm absolutely blown away by the color combinations, blend ability, pigmentation, and lack of fall out throughout the day with these shadows. In my opinion, they are worth the investment if you love eyeshadows and use them frequently. I started out with Glambition, and loved it so much that I also picked up Edgitorial at Sephora. I love the different hues of green in Edgitorial, from the shimmery, olive-toned creme eyeshadow to the dark, forest green matte shade. These shadows are beautiful, no matter which color palette you gravitate towards.

Review for: Provocouture more...
I will start off by saying I am rough on my eyes so I need and look for the longest lasting colors with the best hues and pops of color. I was a long time Stila eyeshadow buyer until I tried the Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Provocateur palette. Right off the bat, the colors were beautiful! With bold colors, it's hard to find palettes with my go to colors in there, too. Found them both in this! The colors are perfectly pigmented so that you get the glamour without getting too much shine! They're also really soft. So soft that I didn't think they would stay but after a 10 hour day, I didn't have to touch up once. I like that I can use half the colors for daytime/work and then combine with the purple and magenta hues for nighttime/play. I honestly thought there was no way I could pull off the pink/magenta but when blending with the shimmer and darker purple, it was the first successful pink eyeshadow experience! I have always loved MJ products, but had never tried a beauty product aside from lotion. I received this in exchange for my honest opinion from #Influenster and love being able to try something for the first time with no prior knowledge of the product. Honesty is how I find my best makeup products! Will definitely be trying the other palette with the golds and browns! Also, the slim fit and mirror coverage are two big bonus points!

Review for: Provocouture more...
I got Provocouture as a Christmas gift and I’m really enjoying the mauve/berry looks I can get from it. Like Glambition, it has a nice balance of mattes to shimmers. Some of the shimmers might be a little light for a deeper skin tone, though they suit my skin tone well (there’s a pale pink and a beautiful pale lilac with gold flecks I especially love). These match well with the soft matte mauve tones (though you do have a darker plummy tone with glitters for smoky looks). The only shade I had a little trouble blending was the pop shade, a matte bright pink. Overall, a hit for me. I can’t wait to get more of these- I think I’ll try Scandalust next.

Marc Jacobs Eye-Conic Eyeshadow No. 7 The Vamp 208

This shadow is very plush and shimmery. It maybe a special edition and I don’t think they carry it anymore. You can create many looks and I always use the maroon/red color with the dark gray at the crease and the white over the maroon. It is highly pigmented, goes on soft and is one of my favorite palettes. I love this look if I’m going glam and it’s even better for a night time look. You can create a Smokey eye, halo eye, cut crease, etc. There are so many looks you can do with this palette. There is a little fall out when using this but it’s super pigmented and makes up for it.
