This foundation claims to be a lightweight formula that offers sheer coverage that is buildable and delivers a dewy finish. It is supposed to even out complex and is waterproof and transfer proof. A lot of the reviews and comments I have seen have given this product a lower rating because of coverage. If you read the description of the product, it states that it offers sheer coverage that can be buildable. I was not expecting to get much coverage out of this and I agree that the product does what it claims to do. It is pretty sheer, especially if you go in with a beauty blender. You can get more coverage applying with a brush or your fingers. The consistency is very thin and lightweight so applying with a brush can be a bit streaky. I always go in with a beauty blender after applying to smooth and even everything out. The finish is very natural and it really does look like skin, just more even and dewy. If you have dark spots or acne, you will need to use a concealer to cover. I did find that you can build this up. I was able to easily build this to a high light coverage. If you need more coverage then that, I would stay away from this product. I did not have any issues with this transferring and it dried down nicely on me. I got the shade Y225 and this was a good shade match. If I want more coverage, I will usually mix in my Cover FX custom cover drops. I find that this does not effect the longevity or finish of the product. For those who tried or used the previous Face & Body Foundation by MUFE, this is NOT the same formula. I used the previous formula and did prefer that one to this one so that is something to keep in mind. Overall, I think this is a nice foundation that I keep in my rotation and is more suited for people who don't have much to cover and prefer a light coverage.

The formula is a great color match. It blends to the skin smoothly. It was easy to work with. It managed to cover even though it was so light. At times I thought I would have to put on six or seven coats to get the coverage that I’m used to. Then I realized that it’s perfect for people who have clear skin and like a natural look. Although, it can be paired with contouring colors, creams, powders and blushes for the heavy painted look that is so in fashion right now; it is also just perfect for an easy and natural day of lite, non pore clogging natural beauty. Not for me, but was fun to try.

I recently tested out this foundation because it is one of the few silicone free options out there. I got shade Y245, which is the perfect summer shade for my olive skin. The lady at Sephora told me to apply with my hands in circular motions and that it would set while I did that and that it would provide the most coverage that way and she was right. I can get a really natural light to medium coverage out of this to even out my skin tone and all I need is a little spot concealing after. It lasts all day on me without a problem, although I have normal to dry skin and that isn’t really an issue for me generally. Unfortunately, I found that the fragrance in this product, which is pretty strong and perfume-like, was breaking me out. I’m so sad because it is such a great product and the best shade match I have ever found! I wish they would remove the fragrance from this, I have no idea why brands think it is necessary. Even after the foundation set the scent lingered for about 30 mins. Overall, I’d recommend to people that need a silicone free foundation or like sheer to light-medium coverage and aren’t sensitive to fragrances.

First of all, this is by no means a full coverage foundation. It isn't even a medium coverage foundation. Some bbcreams will have more coverage. But if you're looking for a "your skin but better" type of foundation, this is absolutely perfect. It covered what I needed it to cover, built up a small amount to hide any red spots, but didn't completely camouflage my freckles or gather into my pores. I gave it a 4 out of 5 only because of how thin it is. My brush and sponges soak it right up, but it blends nicely with just fingers.

I was about to give up on this foundation because no matter how I applied it it just did not go on well. Then I hopped online to read some reviews that's when I had that aha moment. The one tool I was not trying to apply it with.. my fingers. Now I love it!! It's great if you don't have a lot to cover, it's amazing if you have dry skin.

If you like light weight, breathable foundation that leaves your skin semi matte to dewy then you will love this foundation. It does have buildable coverage from light weight to medium. I love that it doesn’t smother my skin an leaves a natural looking finish.

The photos I’ve included are not filtered. They are to try to show you the before and after of my hand with one layer of the product. As you can see, it blends very well with a nice light coverage. I do recommend letting the product sit on your skin for 30 seconds or so to “warm up” be fore you blend it in for the best finish. I used a Morphe M439 to blend this out.

I tried so hard but this broke up on my face & I looked beyond patchy. First of all, blending it was a nightmare, my beauty blender soaked It all up (my mistake), the brush left me streaky, & my hands were just as disastrous. The weird thing is that it would grab to certain spots of my face & on other’s it wouldn’t stay. I really wanted to love this foundation but it didn’t go well with my skin & it was hard to work with.

This is my current go to foundation! The formula is extremely liquidy so be careful when pumping it out, and make sure you shake the bottle before you apply it. I have combination skin and it is perfect for me. It does not catch on dry patches and does not come off on my oily t zone. I highly recommend this foundation if you like light coverage.

Just want light coverage? Then grab this! Sometimes there are days where I don't want to apply makeup but if I don't I will look dead or tired. I use this water blend foundation because it is light and it gives my skin a healthy glow and it looks so natural. MAKE UP FOR EVER Water Blend Face & Body Foundation

HOLY FREAKING GRAIL. This is my favorite foundation!

Ok, I know people hate on this product, but listen up: if you’re not into everyday “glam” makeup and medium to full coverage, this is the foundation for you. I think this would be better marketed off as a tinted moisturizer rather than a foundation. It will even out your skin, but won’t provide much coverage. The finish is super natural, can be more on the dewy side. You’ll end up with beautiful, hydrated skin.

Application wise, I’d stay way from sponges because this is a water based product. I apply with a real techniques stippling brush.

Go to Sephora and get a sample, nothing to lose!

Best method of application? I've heard controversial opinions on both beauty blender and brushes. Please include if a certain primer or setting powder / spray has helped. I'm looking to use this for being in costume all day without slathering product on my face.

I properly color matched myself to flesh... When I put it on it seamlessly blended in with my skin, after wearing for about 20 minutes, I had an orange tinge to my face - and no it's not bronzer (thought it might have been so I tried the next day with only foundation and same results) anyone else have this problem??

I have recently purchased this foundation and I love it. However, due to the runny texture of it, I have yet to find a perfect way of application to minimize the streakiness. What's the best way of applying this product?
