I recently had the chance to try MAC’s Elle Belle lipstick from their Snow Ball Holiday 2017 collection, and it quickly became a standout in my lipstick collection. Elle Belle is a rich berry red with an Amplified Creme finish, offering a bold yet slightly creamy look. The lipstick feels very smooth and emollient on my lips, gliding on effortlessly without dragging or catching on dry patches. It has a nice slip that makes application easy and comfortable throughout the day. The pigmentation is vibrant but not super opaque in one swipe, so I like to layer it slightly for a fully saturated color. I appreciated that it didn’t feather or bleed around my lip edges even after several hours of wear. The color has this lovely lush depth that feels festive yet wearable beyond just the holiday season. The shade is versatile for creating both dramatic evening and polished daytime looks. What really won me over about Elle Belle is how the lipstick strikes a great balance between rich color and comfortable wear. It’s neither too matte nor too glossy, hitting that sweet spot of a creamy, slightly plush finish. The packaging of the collection is stunning too, with the snowflake embossing and the gold and rose gold accents that make the product feel special to hold and use.
