I have dry/combination skin that's oily around the nose and dry forehead to my cheeks. My skin is relatively clear, other than an occasional hormonal acne, and so I wanted something that looked natural and dewy, and felt good when I put it on. This product is perfect for that. This is perfect for a natural dewy look with only slight coverage, but very build-able to a light medium/ moderate coverage without getting sticky or looks like it is 'layered' like a plastic. Looks beautiful in photos, and has no flashback. I can wear in the day time with it looking like a second skin, and it drys well on the body (my neck and chest) while still feeling SO soft. I personally have not noticed any transfer for this product. This was the first and only foundation I have found that truly did not cling to any of my dry spots. It does have a tendency to be watery upon first using, and you have to SHAKE WELL before every single use. The pigments do blend very well. Normally, I am a NC37 in the M.A.C Cosmetics Studio Fix Fluid Foundation , and NC40 in the M.A.C Cosmetics Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation ... Best primer I use with this is my Clinique Moisture Surge™ 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator and to fill in the areas where my pores are more prominent, I use the Benefit Cosmetics The POREfessional Face Primer . I would highly recommend to anyone looking to wear something more natural or lightweight for big events or even to days out like a theme park [I wore this foundation to Disney's Magic Kingdom]. Be advised, if you need SPF coverage, you would need to add some, and I personally like to mix in the M.A.C Cosmetics Prep + Prime Beauty Balm SPF 35 in Medium Dark (as I am a C5 in the F&B).

Love this product so much. Especially if you live in an area where it gets hot it’s the best product to use. There are several different uses for this product some of the things I use it for are

1) alone as a very sheer light weight foundation on days when I am lazy. I recommend to apply it with your hands first because it is a gel based foundation and needs to be activated with the heat from your hands and then to ensure an even application go over the foundation with a brush.

2) as a tinted primer because it is so sheer and thin that you could, depending on the primer, layer one on top and then layer a concealer on top for more coverage which allows a full coverage look but lightweight feel.

3) to dilute full coverage foundations such as Becca Complexion Creme or Kat Von D lock it foundation to make sure that there is hydration in the product so it does not dry out my skin and that it does not make those foundations stated as heavy as they can get. I love this foundation! It is such a great product to mix with other foundations if you want to dilute full coverage foundations or to give matte foundations a dewy look to the skin. For example, I purchased the color C3 which is a bit too olive for my skin so I purchased M·A·C Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation in NC 25 which a tab bit lighter than my skin and a little too matte for my dry skin can handle (it looks dry and cakey on my skin). But, mixing both these foundations is a dream team, it looks natural, dewy, and my foundation last all day. I get so many compliments!

Now, the product alone is a bit tricky to use:

I personally never use this product just by itself, I always mix it with another foundation but when I did, I would work the product in both my hands to basically warm the product up and pat it all over the face. This makes the foundation tacky to help adhere to the skin like glue since the foundation is very watery and then I would go in with a foundation brush to even out the harder areas of the face. You can use this product with a foundation brush but you would have to work it into the skin with more effort. I would not suggest a wet sponge since it will soak up the product (but, to each their own).

This product by itself doesn't last long on the skin with about 5 hours wear time without primer and light coverage that isn't so buildable. I don't use this product on the body (besides the neck) so I can't say how well it works but from my recollection from just using the product alone on the face and neck, it's probably best to set this foundation. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Helvetica Neue'; color: #454545}

My go-to everyday foundation for men. When I talk about MAC Face and Body I compare it more to a skin tint than a foundation. Theres many different ways to use it: rub it in your hands and apply to face, blend in using a kabuki brush, etc. My favorite way is to apply a thin layer to my face, ears, and neck using a flat foundation brush and blend into my skin using a damp Beauty Blender. There's almost no coverage but it gives your skin a nice even tint. I spot conceal using my Nars Radiant Concealer for any acne I have on my face. I have oily skin so I blot excess product with a kleenex then I lightly set my T-Zone with a translucent pressed powder (Laura Mercier, Charlotte Tilbury). I get so many compliments and people truly not believing I have makeup on. It is nice because it is undetectable on men when used lightly. Better than a tinted moisturizer.

I got this foundation because I heard that it was comparable to glossier's skin tint in feel but has slightly more coverage and obviously contains much more product for the price. Sounded like a win…but unfortunately this foundation feels really greasy and disgusting on my skin. I'm all about skin like foundations and I have combination skin, but it leaves me feeling like a grease ball and I have to set it with enough powder that it really takes away from the cool/light/easy use and finish I bought it for in the first place. I also got overzealous and sprung for the 120 mL bottle but I don't think I'm ever gonna be able to finish it. I feel like I could like this foundation if I ever figured out how to make the texture feel not as gross on my face :/

This foundation is different then any other foundation I’ve ever tried. It is extremely liquidy and it’s the only foundation that I use my hands to apply. I squeezed a dime size amount on the back of my hand and then pick some up on my fingers and apply to my cheek first rubbing in circular motions until I feel it get tacky and then I wrote down just a few more times. I continue this for my whole face. It actually creates almost a film over your face like a second skin so if you want more coverage once you get done with your face you can start again on the same side you started with new foundation and get a heavier coverage. When you’re done your skin looks just like your skin only healthier and even toned. It lasts a long time all day if you need it and looks great. I love this foundation!

I would recommend this product if you don’t want a full coverage look or just like a concealer look. This foundation is in the middle of both of these looks. I personally don’t like looking like a cake faced person and this product doesn’t give me that look. I recommend this product to all of my friends and they now all use this product. The price of this product is a little pricey but when I run out of it I will definitely keep on using this product.

I switch between this and giorgio Armani luminous silk as my HG foundations. I love this stuff. It has amazing buildable coverage for my dry combo skin.
I apply it with my hands so it gets tacky and blends well on my skin allowing me to build up on coverage.
I also mix this with heavier coverage foundations to lighten them up.
This has a beautiful finish and have repurchased a few times.
However some issues I have are the shade range for fair skinned chicks and the fact that Mac claims it’s satin... lol no it’s not..

This foundation has a very natural finish. If you are into natural look, then this is perfect. Also, it’s great for people with dry skin. I love how it’s so liquidy and applied fast on the face without leaving any dry patches. My only concern is that it has no coverage it’s too sheer for me. I don’t use it daily, but overall it’s a very nice foundation.

I was surprised by the amount of coverage it gave for being a sheer coverage foundation. It goes on so light weight and flawless. I apply it with a brush and then blend it in my skin with a sponge. It truly doesn’t feel like you’re wearing makeup at all and looks so natural. I haven’t wore it on my body though so I can’t say anything about that quite yet. I can see where this may not work for extremely oily skin because I have extremely dry flaky skin and I get a little greasy around the T zone. However blotting paper fixes it easily.

I'm always worried about using a liquid foundation because of the weight and feeling of it on my face. Is this one light or does it feel like it clogs your pores and smothers your face? Looking for a new foundation with light coverage. Thanks!
