MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Natural Radiance
I received this as a deluxe sized sample in an ipsy bag. I was worried at first being that this has the word "radiance" on it, since that usually equals oil slick for me, but I was pleasantly surprised and happy that this kept me shine free throughout the day! It comes out of the tube in a light yellow shade, but disappears as soon as you apply it. It provided a great base for my foundation and also felt moisturizing. Very happy with this product, even though my first choice for MAC primers would be the MAC Prep + Prime Skin/1 oz. - No Color since it gives a slightly more velvety feel!
Review for: Radiant Yellow, Radiant Pink more...
I absolutely love this product!!! I don’t really feel like the yellow and the pink are very different from each other, I’ve had both and they seem to do the same thing. I have combination skin and it can feel dehydrated and look dull. When I use MAC prep and prime natural radiance it adds such a healthy glow to my skin! Looks great as a primer under foundation but also makes your skin look and feel great when you don’t want to put makeup on. It’s hydrating but not too much, so I believe it would be great for all skin types! Love it! I do wish it had packaging where you could see how much you had left but that’s my only complaint.
I really wanted to like the primer but it just didn't work for me. It goes on smooth which is nice but it had zero staying power for me. I have oily skin and the girl at the counter swore up and down this would be perfect. She said she had oily skin and it was her favorite of all of the primers because it didn't cause in caking. She was absolutely right about that. My foundation and setting powder didn't cake at all. It also didn't last on my face past 10:00 in the morning. I think it might be a good option for someone with dryer skin. It is fairly pricey but you do get a lot for your money since you only need one pump for your face. I honestly don't mind spending the money if the product works well but this one just fell short. I gave it a good shot and used it for 3 months before I gave up on it. I still had well over half the bottle left so you do get a lot of product for your money.
LOVE! Before I started to experiment with highlighters my mom introduced me to the Prep + Prime Illuminator. This primer is perfect for anyone that loves a dewy finish to their make up. In comparison, the MAC illuminator is a little pricier than your typical primer. However, I was able to use the same bottle for a least a few months.
I never tried M•A•C before and was happy to get something by them in ipsy. I have been starting to get into makeup more and trying to find what's right for me and decided to give this a try. I didn't know what to expect but I felt like it didn't really give my face a "glow". I won't be buying the full size as I don't think this is right for me.
I absolutely love this primer. I have oily skin and it helped my foundation last and was a pretty good base. I didn’t notice any shimmer it did feel a little tacky. I would definitely recommend this to others and will be purchasing the full size soon. MAC Cosmetics Prep + Prime Natural Radiance
I got a sample of this in my Ipsy bag and absolutely love it. It gives a nice glow to the skin which even shows through under matte foundation. It also seems to have a slight moisturizing property which allows the sin to feel refreshed throughout the day. All of my foundations blend beautifully over top. The only problem I have with it is the price. I'm not sure I would be willing to spend that much on a primer.
This is probably one of my favorite primers of all time. I used this during the summer when my face tends to be more oily than dry and it did such a great job at keeping me matte. But not only did it so that, it also works to keep your face hydrating and looking radiant with the smallest amount of shimmer that it has. It’s consistency is almost like a moisturizer so if you’re looking for something that’s silicone based to fill in your pores this is not the primer for you. It comes in 2 colors, but once you put it on the color disappears so it doesn’t really matter which color you buy. Overall, I thought this primer was really good for keeping oily skin matte without looking too dull.
It's not the best primer I've tried. I don't know how well it works with MAC foundations but I've tried all sorts of foundations with this primer and it always had the same effect. It did nothing to my pores or skin basically. It felt and looked more like a serum. I didn't mind it's sparkly but what I did mind how it made my skin oily (didn't matter what foundation I used). It helped my foundations to last a little bit longer (but not that long like Hourglass or Laura Mercier primers). So maybe if you don't have combination/oily skin and love MAC or onw their foundation then you could give it a try. To everybody else-pick something else ;)
