- "I love this MAC product. My eyeshadow and eyeliner form greasy creases on my eyelids if I don't use this product as a primer to set my eye makeup. It's a "must have" for me. It is a Long wearing and great color. My first paint pot ever was in the color bare study. I still am in LOVE with it. It's creamy and goes on so easy, all while ensuring my eye shadow doesn't budge. Soft ochre, however, isn't of the same consistency. I wanted a matte color for those days that I don't want any shimmer on my eye, and this seems to match my skin tone pretty well. While it does the job at making sure my shadow stays put, it just doesn't go on as smoothly as I would like. I'm not sure if I just got a defective pot of this (I bought mine at a mac counter) or if its just this color, but I hardly ever reach for it. So in my opinion, get a different shade, as it will go on MUCH easier." in 27 reviews

his stuff is perfection if you're a cool toned light skinned girl (or boy). For the aforementioned, it is the perfect shadow base shade... It makes eyeshadow look so much better against it's neutral but slightly cool-toned sort of putty shade. Or, it makes for a nice, nude, clean look when worn alone. For me, it rids my lids of redness and patchiness, makes them look even-toned and it almost completely covers over my awful tattooed eyeliner that I regret getting in my twenties. So when I want a clean, non-tattooed-liner look, I grab this stuff, put a little Too Faced Shadow Primer which is colorless and thin, then lay this over it, and I have a polished looking lid! I just know they'll discontinue it, too. Of course. Yeah I think they did. WHYYYY! *Disclaimer- if you have an extra you'd like to sell to me, I'd be happy to buy it from you! Message me!*
They have a nostalgic feel for me since these were the gold standard before Paint Pots came out. I wish they didn't do away with the fun colors.Seems to work just fine for me. Be sure to roll the end of the tube out to prevent the paint from gushing. The paints come in an aluminum tube that tears over time, therefore drying up the paint. The paints that I have had in the past, I had to end up throwing away since the paint was not usable anymore. I wouldnt buy it again is that I prefer paint pot as a primer, as it is matte and therefore a bit more versatile (as I use a lot of matte eyeshadows)
I thought that this product would be great for an eye shadow base, similar to the MAC paint pots (which I LOVE). Unfortunately, this product creased so badly on my lids and never seemed to dry down completely. Because of this, I find that its very difficult to blend products on top of this base. It also made me hesitant to want to use it on top of other eye shadow products as a finish, because I felt like it would slip all over my eyelid and crease into a big mess. Wouldn't recommend this product, would definitely recommend the MAC paint pots.
This MAC foundation makes my face break out like a teenage girl going through puberty. It makes my skin oily and just nasty feeling. I took it back to the MAC counter at Macy's but I didn't have my receipt in hand so the lady basically told me, oh well. Not only was I completely dissatisfied with the MAC foundation, but their sales reps need to learn some manners.. c'mon MAC, for the outrageous prices that you charge, you should produce a good product and also stand behind it!
I love MAC paints, but the packaging ruins it! The paints come in an aluminum tube that tears over time, therefore drying up the paint. The paints that I have had in the past, I had to end up throwing away since the paint was not usable anymore. The lasting power is much longer than paints pots and the texture is easy to work with. I wish MAC would change the packaging. I will not repurchase.
I have a couple of these in my kit to apply under eye shadow. I read that they help to blend eye shadow, give longevity. I used one on me and my eye shadow creased ( I have oily lids), I need to play around with them more ( because right now they just taken up real estate in my kit) especially for the price I paid for them. I just don't reach for them!
I think they don't sell these anymore they discontinued it but I bought two colors ne they are amazing I use it sometimes when iam lazy I just put all over the lid and move on but the only con is that it dries too fast you have to work really fast and blend it with a brush or fingers I personally like it with my fingers !!
When you want a color on your lid that is not only going to prime but also provide you with a consistent color on which to build your eye look, this one is perfect and it sets up really quick without being tacky. It has considerable staying power and it provides you with additional staying power and blendability for your eye look. Love this formula.
Love MAC Paints... only reason for 4 starts in stead of 5 is sometimes the tube would get worn and break and then i would have the product coming out all over the place and ended up with a lot of wasted product. BUT the product worked great as a eye shadow primer and lasted allllll day (and night) long.
This is really great as a lid primer, but I also liked using it on days that I wanted quick color. It has a nice shimmer so I could swipe it on and good and it made me look like some effort was made. The only drawback is that I get oily lids in the summer and it didn’t last for that time of year.

I am considering trying this product and I want to know how long it last? I have super oily skin and my makeup will start to disappear during the day. I am using skincare and primer but my makeup will continue to fade away and my skin will be super shiny. Will this product help or withstand my super oily skin?
